Wow what a shame. The speedo does not look original.?? Mine is a 75 and it says Dino. The only positive on this car is that it has a full tool and jack set!! LOL

 

Looks like another project for Al, its a euro!

I believe that it was the car on Craiglist and is a 208 based on the black instrument panel

Darn, I hate that BCC got another one. I knew I should have bought it last month for $10k just so they wouldn't get it. I'm not sure why they are listing it as a 308 when it is clearly a 208 (black dash) and they don't mention it or the fact the engine is in pieces. If it was really a blue euro 308 GT4 I would have bought it last month for sure.

They actually cleaned it up a little. A few of us here talked to the the previous seller who owned it for 25+ years and someone near SD even went to look at it.

The black one was listed in May and again in July at $95K. Hopefully the dealer will have a little better luck at the new $80K asking price.

At least they took the muffler out of the front seat...oh wait that's not even the correct muffler!

So they bolted the car back together and are charging an extra $25k. Where do I sign!

Ok...... This is starting to freak me out a little!

 

Yeah... Me too, but then again, not. When actual sales for cars (other than these perfecto restored examples, which are worth every penny!) hit that price, then I'll start to think about it.

 

How many miles? Service history? Original owner? He should edit the ad a little more when asking that price!! These cars have been under appreciated for many years and I am glad that the market is giving them a little more appreciation and love..

You are correct - I chose my words poorly. When I said, "one of these..." I meant "one of these in this thread, above."

I believe those cars are worth every penny of the $150k asking price. I don't, however, *know* (not the same as 'believe') if lesser cars are worth proportionately less. In other words, I'm not sure that's a $95k GT4, but if it is - mine's for sale today.

 

At 150 Al's cars are much better value than most offered at half or two thirds the price.
The cars that he's restored are is good as, if not better, than new.

 

I think he still has one left who will be the lucky new owner?????

I'm guessing he means it has soooo much downforce,that it's tipped the car on it's side

 

Exactly I was joking! Supposedly a F1 car at speed could drive upside down if it had enough downforce!

 

Don't know about an F1 machine but with an iphone anything is possible
