    Actually, I regretted that I did not understand the implication of not checking to see if the shims had been done on the car because its that and the bushes which are the two biggest maintenance items on the car, cost wise that is.

    But I have no real regrets with the purchase of that car except I wish i got a GTB instead. Had I done that, I would still own that car now. And the main reason I regret the GTS is chiefly because I didn't take the roof off enough b/c the irony is that an open top car that generates a fair bit of heat and heats the interior is not a pleasant experience on a typical summer's day.....so it negates the very reason of having an open top car.

    Having said that, a GTS is very pleasant to drive on summer evenings and mildly warm days.

    Oh, and the fact that you need to stow the roof behind the seats and having higher sills really dampen the entry/exit experience of the car. Given Melbourne's fickle weather, I wasn't game not to have the targa roof with me.

    Wow, there you go!! Congrats mate, never thought you would have sold it after having all the little things sorted out.

    I remember your most recent posts saying how happy you were with it now.

    But all good, I am sure the new owner is going to be very happy with it and you can move onto something else.

    I have seen a few nice 360s for sale as of late, best of luck with your decision buddy.

    You've made a good choice with the Mondial QV Rob. It is a nice looking car in a nice and desirably understated colour combination. Just don't let too many people in on the fact that they are a very good car at great prices.

    No, probably not.

    But there was another Chiaro Blu QV in Qld (he lived Brisbane northside also) in the late 80's - and believe it or not, the second owner had it painted red!

    (I actually saw the guy who was the first owner today)

    I remember asking the guy who got out of it, presumably the owner, how much it cost, to which he replied "More than you'll ever afford". I think he was a real estate agent?

    NTGG16 in the alpine region? I have some super roads from the various McKay rallies. Start in Wangarratta, Omeo Hwy to Lakes Entrance, Monaro up to Bega, Snowy River Way to Jindabyne. We'd have to go earlier in the year though, May?
