    I remember seeing video footage of the 2 cars running together.
    The GTO was following behind the TR when it broke the slipstream, moved out to the left side, flashed it's passing lamps and was gone leaving the TR in the dust.
    Quite an exhilarating image in my mind that left an indelible impression.

    In the Ferrari factory production picture set from 1989 the factory still had on hand one of the 288 GTO Geneva show cars. It appears to be 50255 on display in the showroom at the factory. Is that 288 GTO still at the factory or in a private collection now?

    Last I heard it was loaned by the factory for display at Collezione Umberto Panini, Modena, and then back to display at Galleria Ferrari SpA.

    Perhaps someone can confirm.
