Ferrari F430 Headers 50% Discount Group Order: Any Interest?

All the talk about failing headers has gotten to me and I decided to replace my MKII OEM headers.

After reading all the information here and learning that the source country of the most commonly used headers is Taiwan I started my search for a set there.

After a lot of phone calls and enlisting the help of a friend in Taiwan it turns out I need to buy a minimum of five sets at a price of $1,475/ set. Air Shipping to the US comes out to $175/set.

So... I need four more F430 owners who want to buy a set of headers at a discount.

These headers have been sold by US companies for years. I found cheaper headers but was not comfortable with them.

I don't know if its just the pictures, but the piping looks to be smaller diameter than the ones I have from AP. The welds and bends look pretty rough too.

Don't mean to be a skeptic as I am also looking for decent quality parts for real world money.

They don't look right..but that's just me, have just installed a set of aftermarket manifolds on a 430 just yesterday..

I am in Taiwan as well. What's the name of the factory that makes the F430 Header. Want to check it out before I buy one locally. Fab speed is from the USA. lots of trouble importing it to Taiwan. Is the manufacturer called IPE by any chance?

 

Fabspeed and Agency Power both use Jim for F430 headers.

I doubt you can buy direct unless they have changed their policy. There was a thread a while back where someone approached Jim direct and after establishing they were from the US they were simply given Fabspeeds details and asked to contact them.

I understand that everybody who shelled out $3,000 or more dollars for their headers needs to feel good about their headers. Yes, you have great headers. But this is not about how great your headers are.

This is about getting a set of headers for half price.

No, these do not look identical to your headers. There are more ways than one to skin a cat.

The piping diameter is 44 mm and stainless steel is t304L. I will get better pictures taken with a real camera. The manufacturer is none of the above. You will only be able to buy these headers directly as a Taiwanese buyer in the automotive industry. That is why I needed to enlist a friend who manufactures car parts in Taiwan. I am not going to get him in trouble with his source.

This is a chance to get a deal.

You either need headers and realize this as a chance to avoid the Ferrari tax or you not.

Quality looks rather dubious on that set. The AP headers aren't that much more money on special with any number of forum vendors.
