Wondering how many have the space saver spare? My car has it from the factory and i've been told they're pretty rare. It's an 18 inch rim and stamped dino on the rim itself.

IMO for a 308 it was the standard Wheel, I do not know ANY 308 with another Spare (328 like f.e). With the 328 there came another Spare (five spoke).

    I think so.

I had to assemble "full sets" in all of my early carbed cars.

It had one like that, to start with.

I believe it is a Euro thing... Our '85 Euro has the space saver as well...

I have that in my 84 QV.

    Do these have significant value?

One sold last week for $800USD.

    I threw mine away.

So, somewhere "between those two numbers"!!!

    Seventeen years ago.....

Not so much "tossed into the dumpster" as leaned against the wall of a shop.
    No longer in business.

I was in pursuit of the 'five matching full size spares', as in Texas I have had flats in some pretty God forsaken roads!!

My '89 328 still has the original space saver...I just checked pressure (down to 40 PSI) and aired it up yesterday.

Note: the pressure was down to 40 from the last time I checked/filled it a couple of years ago, NOT down to 40 from it's original fill when new in 1989! :)

I have the space saver in that pic in my 84 Euro with the original tire. Sadly, no modern tires are available in the correct size and rating. The original speed rating sticker says max speed 150km/h. For some reason, that thing doesn't inspire enough confidence for me to blast down the interstate at 90mph after changing a flat. ;)

My QV comes with a full sized spare TRX. All five in storage now. I do remember when I checked, they have the same manufacture date stamps.

So is it a RHD or UK thing?

Big Tex, you're killing me. You actually threw a space saver spare away? I have a 328 and have unsuccessfully looked for a space saver spare for a very long time. I mounted an amplifier down low so a regular spare won't work. I know, I know, for all you guys that don't think stereos should be in Ferraris, that was the deal I made with my wife. She said you can buy a Ferrari but I want Sierus/XM. Well that was a no brainer. We're cruising down the road, me listening to the Tubi exhaust and Sylvia with the noise canceling Bose headphones on. Anyway, if anyone out there know of or has a space saver spare for sale PLEASE let me know.

I'll see if I can find the Craigslist info. Bought my 328 in April but have been on this site for about a year and a half. The info I sought from members was so valuable in my decisions to purchase my first Ferrari were unmeasurable. Thanks to all of you. Still if anyone knows of a space saver spare please let me know.
    Thanks

I bought mine on eBay about 15 years ago to make room for my CD Changer and Amp.

I don't remember what I paid for it - which is to say it wasn't that much.

Like mentioned the spare saver tyres are nla so l don't see the point other than an originality function to finding one..

My Italian-made space saver spare has a Volvo sticker on it. $40 from a Pick-A-Part yard complete with a reasonably fresh tire.

    ... d'oh ... that's probably not what you meant.

I bought a used 328 space saver a few years back. It was just the rim sans tire. I was able to get a 125/80-18 (I think) recently and had it mounted. I now have another wheel to store in the garage...my '78 came with a full size (14 x 7-1/2) spare.

Can someone please confirm if these have an adapter on the rear to mount using the small holes (showing on the front) rather than the usual larger bolt holes - TIA

I have the Volvo temp spare that fits these cars if anyone wants it.

I can't use it because I have the Brembo brake kit and the welds on the inner side of the rim hit the caliper.
