And then report back and tell us what FNA said to him.
Buying 2 FF and 1 F12 new was ticket for me. Before those I had 430 and 458 spyder...but these two sure was not a factor...and no I am not in USA
Your case is completely baffling especially since you got approved for 458 SA which is more limited! The only thing that I can think of is that you live in an area with many high priority clients and your dealer is spreading the limited cars among the clients to keep as many of them happy as possible.
Maybe because he's from Switzerland and there are many people there with the same, or better, car history chasing a certain number of slots. Where I live the dealer got 6 and I doubt more than one or two new owners have a similar history of Ferraris, although they have a bunch of nice cars from other brands.
Whoopsy, there is no way that setup is the exact same as in the LF and there is no way whatever extra structure they did added that much weight. Its batteries and electric motors and I'll trust my source. Is that the same for 918 and P1 also? The average weight gain of the supercars over their predecessors is something like 600lbs... Batteries are mostly responsible for that kind of weight gain... At this point I will just leave it there. At some point we will know who called it correctly and who didn't. I would be very happy to have it incorrect and will be very happy to say you got it right back then. As to who gets these cars, as I understand it, at least in the US, the dealer is the first gatekeeper. Then its FNA, then its SpA...
You got way more speciale cars than I do, sorry to hear that. That's what makes me feel used, I don't get it why we need to buy everything and anything Ferrari offers to be almost worthy ! As much as I love Ferrari I see my self drifting day by day from the brand. Mclaren keeps updating me directly with anything new and with my builds and i feel happy each time I visit the factory and its more like home to me. Porsche dealer called me and promised to show me some upcoming cars I maybe intrested in and sicne I came back to Porsche with my 918 WP purchase the guys at the factory welcomed me with open arms. Hard to ignore all that really. Mbn
Just talked to my guy today. The last statement is pretty much what he said. Dealer picks/submits names then Ferrari decides. I'm hoping for the second round as well! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Saw the "Limited Edition Series" (aka F12 VS) yesterday. Presentation at the factory was excellent and packed full of technical spec. Car is significantly more powerful versus the base F12 and 599 GTO in every dimension. Much of what has been speculated in this thread is correct. Car is dramatic especially from front the front, wider than the F12 and aggressive. Saw it yellow which I felt too fussy because there is much CF/detailing. Specced my car following presentation. No other information other than if performance and agility claims are correct it will be an astonishing car, and a considerable achievement by Ferrari.
Camlet, what color did you eventually choose for int/ext? Tough decision... PP also confirmed for me in Maranello on Sept.11. Can't wait to see her.
I was trying to be diplomatic with my choice of words. Besides not all the items in this thread were correct. But an impressive number are.
From the two other guys with me who were also speccing the choice for each of us was surprisingly easy. I can't overstate how visually overpowering the car looks in yellow. Cluttered even. That's not to say the design and tech isn't remarkable, it is. And some, as you will see. But there is a tremendous amount going on, all for good reason. We separately landed on softer metallic colours to allow the eye a chance to absorb the considerable whole. Enjoy the trip. She's a beast.
Looking forward to hearing more. Looks like I get to see and spec on the 25th of this month and sounds like my first choice of GF may stick from what you suggest.
Thanks for the info. I'm still waiting for my call from maranello 😉 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
This 'Rob Walker' blue is a nice shade but perhaps not dark enough? There is always Nuova Blu Pozzi... Image Unavailable, Please Login
From what I am hearing about the complexity of the detailing, whilst GF is still my preferred choice until I see the car, my other alternative has always been a dark blue and whilst originally an outsider, this just may be moving up fast on the rails as a possibility. I will have to wait until the 25th to actually see it.
As Marcel notes Blu Scozia is an interesting classic choice> The color really shows in the close up view but changes with the light to. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
