bianco italia is my fav
For those who got the triple layer paint I heard that just like the regular Ferrari finishes the triple layer usually costs about 25k and includes, at no add'l charge, the swirl, hologram and scratches in the pain Ferrari is now famous for. Is this true? I always hoped for another 25k they might omit that free option. I was told it looks gorgeous but like all other Ferrari's still needs a full paint correction to remove these defects and get it back to perfect. Ferrari is even kind enough to include the free swirls and holograms on all new LaFerrari's so at least they are consistent across the board there I'm thinking of either that new blue, the triple Rosso or regular Rosso for my 488 Spider order. I was down to just the Red's but that blue on the Spider looks incredible and so Ford GT like.
You should definitely expect the standard Ferrari finish... Look at it this way. Some correction will most likely be needed no matter what finish, so it does not matter. The only difference will be the price of the tri, and a corrected tri is as stunning as one would expect it to be over a corrected standard finish.
Your cost is high. I had the paint professionally corrected, but it was no where near as troublesome as my previous 430 was regarding swirls and paint defects. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I think my scud has triple layer. Looks candy apple red in some lights. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Do you have any more pictures of both of them at the same time? Would work great to compare. Also, could you please post pics of the paint stickers? Thanks!
I just picked up my Speciale last week and it was covered in holograms swirls. My stripe is tripple layer paint and was over sprayed on the nose and hood (under the clear coat). All Ferraris need a full paint correction when new.
Wow, thank you! It's really helpful to see both colours in the same picture, this ensures exact same conditions. How would you compare both colours, though? I guess these really need to be seen live, especially Fuoco.
Rosso fiorano is a bit dark in less than clear bright sunlight, but as you can see from the pics, it looks great with sun. Cloudy or dim light? Just looks a little dull to me. But I had that color on my 360 and I liked it so much I recommended it to dad. Fuoco does need to be seen in person. It is obviously lighter than fiorano and has a nice "candy apple red" metallic color most of the time. It looks great in dim light, cloudy, and synthetic light. Only very rarely does it have an orange hue that other say it has. At any rate, I wouldn't hesitate to order this color (depends on price of course). I have not have the pleasure of seeing all of the metallic reds though, so another may be even better! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Thank you for your insight! Indeed all the new-ish metallic reds look great, maybe not distinct enough...
Another nuovo rosso F1 Scuderia. Hard to capture its range in a photograph. Very close to Rosso Corsa under florescent lights, candy apple red under bright sunlight (shown here) but in partial lighting an orange undertone emerges. Wonder how Fuoco compares side by side as they sound very similar... Image Unavailable, Please Login
