Yes, some owners treasure them as the Holy Grail of Modern Supercars inside a museum-garage, others drive them like they were meant to be driven. They are both right! Here are some vintage photographs of this French LP400 you posted, chassis n° 1120048. I am going to try to look in my archives if I find other information on this countach. I go to see if I find the owner of these years there.

The color is stunning! I like it better than a normal red. After 2 weeks of leather reconditioning and two more weeks of polishing this Countach looks brand new.
Andrew, shockingly original down to the Vitaloni Turbo decals on the door-mirrors. Having seen this car in person, I would have to say of the hundreds of Countachs I have seen, I can't recall a more beautifully-preseved example in recent time, it really is that good and I'm sure you are proud. The adventure to find this car was quite special also. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Valentino, I believe was just recently here in Hawaii. I really wish I had the opportunity to meet him! Seems like a genuine guy from everything I've heard.
It is quite amazing HOW many people do stop and say hi all day long. Almost took all day to get through Pebble Beach this year. Fantastic person and ALWAYS a smile on his face and a kind word for anyone... See you in October friend. Image Unavailable, Please Login
The thing that is special about Valentino Balboni is how he gives of his time and makes himself accessible to all Lamborghinisti. He is the Lamborghini Ambassador Plus Ultra. But what makes him invaluable is how much he gives back to the community in real terms, with advice, guidance & information, all delivered in a cool concise manner. In a world where generosity is a rare commodity, Valentino offers it in spades, and he will be remembered as a selfless, kind, knowledgeable, gentleman. What a class act. And he actually looks good behind the wheel too, like the Countach, he has aged gracefully! Grazie Valentino for all you do for us. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Hear hear. I spent several days with Valentino when we went to SA to inspect my Countach. It was the trip of a lifetime. We have spent a lot of time together since, as I sent the car to him to get it recommissioned. I will never forget arriving in Bologna last Dec only to get a call from him with the sad news that his mother had just passed away. Yet he still insisted on meeting the next morning to go and see my car at his workshop.
I have to believe that Valentino has created numerous gracious "stunt doubles " over the years He seems to be everywhere at once and never under stress . A role model for sure.
Just got here this morning...I guess I am gone the rest of the day on a "Joy Ride"!! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I'm jealous, Roy! I followed the restoration of this car from Michael on here. I hope you have some fun with it! Is it still warm over there right now? Can't wait to get back to WA with my M5 and open it up on some real roads!
