Is this really what 348's go for these days?

1990 348ts, serviced, 13k miles, for $74,000. It's been a while since I last looked at the market, but wow I don't remember 348's in that range.

 

Looks to be in nice shape, obviously service is a big plus. Honestly, though - I think the price is a bit optimistic. It may appeal to a collector because of the low mileage, intact boxer paint scheme, etc.

 

Seems about market-correct ask for a low-mileage 348, at least in comparison to other dealer offers on Autotrader:

Quite a few low mileage cars are listed in that range, though many seem to be languishing for quite a while. Mid/higher-mileage drivers are listing more in the high $40 - mid $50k range, and with quite a few sticking around for a long time. I'm wondering what some of the comps that have sold this season have actually sold at, versus listed pricing.

Interested and keeping a lookout, since a TS is something that I'd love to swap into my garage in the near future.

 

Asking price does not indicate sale price. Prices are on the rise however.

 

There is an incredible one on here for $48k....I know the owner.

Anyway, I used to give ppl a hard time on prices as well, but as they say ...supply and demand, and the market is demanding these days.

I actually wonder if we are at the point where we have so much upper middle class that ppl can afford these cars more and more?

And on that, there is only so many F's out there. Just my 2 cents.

Had my 348 out last Saturday and people started commenting to me on Facebook that someone took a picture of my car and posted it on "Badass rides of SW Florida". I looked and there it was with lots of likes and comments. F's get the attention!!!

 

I just feel they are doing what all low production ferraris always do and that is go down and then go up and up and up in price

No, won't sell! But I agree with most, these cars go down and in time they ALL go up in price.

 

I will evaluate selling in a few years. most likely I will be a long term owner with my 348 challenge

 

I would be curious what a car like this would go for ballpark?

A factory Challenge with those wheels, that color, solid sevice history...I'd pay good money for it. In the current market I would guess high 50's - high 60's for a pretty sure sale, maybe more. I think it's worth more, honestly.

Really, all variables and price being equal, I for one would be waaaay more interested in that than the car in the original post.

Those white challenge wheels are so sweet on giallo. Wish I could find something white that looked even close to those....in the UK.

I think you are low by at LEAST 20-30k! Maybe more at auction


I am on the fence and I may sell my black on black 348TB. I could really use 4 seats, the car would get MUCH more use, a 400 or a 456 is what I would be after.

Maybe 48K is the new "no-major" price? I shared some of this info with my friends and did some searching for rotors. Found wheels instead. Superformance was down for maintenance. But look what Algar has! OMG.

Love the yellow Challenge car in the above posts. Now for that I could see serious money due to extreme rarity and good condition.

 

Currently here in the UK the cheapest right hand drive 348 has 40,000 miles and is up for £52,000 = $80,000USD.
After that they are £60k+ = $90k USD + and higher. They're very rare indeed in right hand drive.
So many dealers here have flooded the UK market with left hand drive models for stock and they just don't seem to be selling at all and can be had for just over half the price of right hand drive.
It's all relevant to market specifics and demand and is not just on the 348 models but other Ferraris too.
