You can disagree with your fellow Fchat member without trolling them. You're silver subscribed. Perhaps you can start a thread in P&R about it if you're so inclined. This is Vintage. We tend to be respectful of fellow members here. It's kind of nice. You might give it a try.

Bulls can make up to 1.27 e/p when in season, e.g. when in a state of increased arousal, testosterone and aggression known as musth; cows between .94 and .98 e/p where e/p = one elephant power ;-)
Just as I spend hours every day obsessing about Ferraris, there are people out there that do the same in making sure that a certain dignity is bestowed on certain animals in the kingdom; whales, lions, elephants and such are some of those animals. This “dignity” is hoped to bring attention and funding that goes toward helping these animals. If not offensive, the picture discounts that. Pulling an ancient imperialist’s offspring and his toy by the tail somehow disrespects the animal and the society that works to preserve dignity to these animals. Or, at the least shows F-Chat’s insensitivity to the issue. Some comments do not require a reply; I have replied to yours because it is from a moderator and I suspect you’re evaluating it further for removal, and I will not deliberate any more. Thank you. john
John, Thank you for your thoughtful and persuasive response. However, after carefully reviewing the forum rules, I have determined that the photo above does not violate any of them. As Moderators, we have one standard, and one standard only: the rules established by the site owner and the mandate to use our best judgement. In my judgment, the photo may, and likely would, offend a certain segment of society. But, our job, as moderators, is not to protect sensitivities, but to enforce the rules. And, I don't believe any forum rules have been broken. I'm leaving the photo. Mike Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I can't respond to this effectively in a non-P&R thread. And it's not important enough, or complicated enough, to merit its own thread in P&R so that's that. And I can't wait to read your condemnation of the use of terms like "oppulent" and "ancient imperialist" by others, to say nothing of the idea that such a pic ought to be pulled because someone may find the image offensive.
in a sense, the animal comment is against the domestication of animals ( having pets ), where does one draw the line then, why should a dog or cat be in a different class of pet than an elephant... we all have a "delete button" which allows one to move on to other topics that are more on line with one's thoughts, better than imposing censorship
I'm in complete agreement with Mike. I would also like to add that this discussion is derailing a cherished vintage forum thread, so let this be the final comment on the issue. Now, back to posting old car pics...
No it is the TDF, not Monza. Another shot at the same race. Notice the black background behind the numbers on the first photo. Image Unavailable, Please Login
With the black background behind the numbers on the first photo IS TDF 64, 250 GTO 04153, winner. I think is very difficult the photo is taken in France: Enzo Ferrari was often seen in Monza...not in France. Best. Miki-Paki.
One of the last legs of the 1964 Tour de France Automobile went from France to Italy, to the Autodromo di MONZA. This is also where the two pix were taken (post #9067 and post #9073). Enzo Ferrari was in Monza that day but NOT in France. Marcel Massini
