Yes. The paperwork I have shows Robert & Elaine McCoy owned it from 89 - 2001. Do you know much about the car? I purchased it from a Shannon's auction about 18 months ago. It had a few problems that I have managed to sort out & catch up on some deferred maintenance & it is now running sweet.
dunno? Let's just say he has some real exotics. And I mean super exotics! I really didn't think we had these exotics in Melbourne from one collector.
If you only paid $16K for it, it was a steal Don't know much, except that when Rob had it, it was immaculate, as was his Boxer.
Yep. I think I got a fantastic car for a very cheap price! I could not be happier with this purchase.
Very nice car Al and it was a pleasure meeting you too. What a weekend eh? Looking forward to going next year again and I will bring the Ferrari over if the family doesn't come with. If they do, then I won't as I will feel bad driving the Ferrari around everywhere without the little girls. Not unless I bring my 348 so you can drive it around and I will put the cook my girls in your 400 to cruise around the Alice.
'Found' him the first day, never saw him again over the next two days. He is such a lovely bloke too, would have loved to chat more with him. One encounter with the ol Papster was probably enough for Al.
What a shame we didn't get to catch up again! It would have been great to have a couple of beers & talk Ferrari's. You will have to check out my shed next time. The Red Centre NATS were fantastic & I'm sure they will only get bigger & bigger the next few years. What a weekend!!! Thanks for the kind words about our 400 - it needs a bit of work here & there but I love it & it's just so much fun to cruise in. We also entered the little Cortina Ute that is in the background of the pictures I posted. Hope you really enjoyed your time in the Red Centre. Looking forward to you bringing over the 348 for next years. We will have to try & get a few more Ferrari's out here next year! Cheers Al
I thought this was still current. http://www.drive.com.au/motor-news/new-porsche-911-for-nsw-police-20140929-10neah.html
Cheers Al, sounds like a plan mate. The 400 is not perfect, but it's still very cool! I loved our time there and I have already rebooked my accom for next year. I am going to fix the a/c in my car very shortly and I awaiting a quote back from CEVA transport in regards to trucking the car there and back. If it's too expensive, I might just drive it over. The longest I have driven in that car has been around 2 hrs and it wasn't very comfortable. So spending 7 hrs in it might be a bad idea, but I will work it out closer to the day as to which way I will go about it. Take care and talk soon mate.
