Yap..poor squirrel.....probably over by elton with a big Merc SUV!!!!
You put any of those drivers next to Hamilton I the Merc and in the end Hamilton will still cont out on top. He best Alonso his rookie year he best Button twice. He beating Rosberg who best MS... He's also been able to drag the dog of a McLaren to a win every year even when his teammate could not. Look at McLaren now. 2009 and 2010 were rubbish cars but Hamilton still pulled results. Again this is David Coultard! Who are you?
I am not finding the above quote from David Coultard. Since you keep saying this is David Coultard, could you please point us to the source that quotes him stating what you posted above?
Again: wasn´t it Coulthard that backed Vettel after Spa and it was mentioned here that this is "just the opinion of Coulthard"? So now as it suits you argument Coulthard is the only authority that counts???...Strange
blah blah blah. in 2009 the car was pretty damn good once they got the update in the car proper. It was just Heikki who was dog slow. Nice chap but never did anything note worthy in an F1 car. 2010 it was Button who got the wins before Hamilton. That car was very far from being a dog, easily getting 2nd place in the championship despite all of their retirements (driver forced all apart from when they left the a bung inside Button's intake overheating the engine immediately). Had they not made so many errors they might have actually gotten the WCC! So much for a rotten car, eh?
I think the comment about Senna & Hamilton is just hype. Hamilton likes Senna - that is his hero I get it. but Senna was a different animal than Hamilton. Senna was a gentleman, and he used his fame to better Brazil and focus on those with nothing... where as Hamilton is doing ....? I dont know.. more tatoos? but that is besides the point. What I will give Hamilton credit for is that he is less aggressive and doing crazy banzi things that Senna used to do. Senna totally 100% believed that he deserved to be the fastest in every session... practice, qualifying & race.... he could not stand to lose and really hated losing to Prost, whom he admired... so much that was his goal to beat him totally. once Prost was gone, Senna was a bit adrift - new team, less motivation, and all the young guns coming up - Schumacher, Hill, Hakkinen etc... However as far as driving ability Senna was very good, but not the best. Prost, Stewart, Clark and Lauda will always in my mind rank above him. As for popularity - Senna will run above all of them next to Gilles Villeneuve. I think mostly because they both were killed while still in their prime and history is forgetting all the "nasty" things Senna did in and out of the cockpit to get ahead. Hamilton is really still a kid... who can drive very well, but I dont think he is that great a driver... sadly today's F-1 drivers will simply not be able to be compared to those of yesterday because the technology is so much greatertoday, its much harder to separate the good from the great driver. to be sure - anyone in F-1 is VERY GOOD.... the question is who is actually GREAT.
more Lewis........ Congrats @LionelRichie on your #IconOfTheYearAward! Honour hanging out with you last night! #LEGEND #MOTY #GQAwards Image Unavailable, Please Login
How funny....Lewis sees his only threat to winning every race from now on is Ferrari. No mention of Nico. Lewis has nailed the mind games! Lewis Hamilton sets his sights on beating Ayrton Senna?s Formula 1 record // F1 News // James Allen on F1 ? The official James Allen website on F1
IMO Since Senna only started 161 GP's and won 41 - Lewis has already started in 160 and won 40 he can only tie Senna's record not beat it because any GP's beyond 161 DO NOT COUNT - Should only count if some one does 42 within 161 - anyone agree ?
Hamilton is a good driver and he is going to rack up some immense stats while racing this Mercedes, which is the most dominant car in F1 history over the period of multiple years. The LH fans are on a high right now, let them enjoy it while it lasts.
Ha, when MS was old and had been away for 3 years. Hamilton would have had nothing for MS in his prime. MS beat Senna his first full year in F1. Like I said, enjoy these wins in a car that is miles in front of everyone else.
The best car makes a big difference. Add a less than stellar performing team mate and a high dose of self confidence and you have the recipe for success. I don't remember Vettel's cars being this dominant.
Exactly, other than the driver lineup in the field. This is probably the most talented grid top to bottom ever. However, the strong talent top to bottom in the field is neutralized by the fact that Mercedes has such a dominant car. It doesn't matter who else is driving...if you're not in a Merc, you're not winning. This era is a very dark period in F1's history. I hope things can turn around in 2017. Speaking of, have they finalized these rules for faster/better sounding cars/wider tires etc yet?? That's because they weren't.
Maybe it's because Vettel was driving. When and if Hamilton gets a new teammate like Bottas, Hulkenberg, Verstappen and gets beat 3 wins to 0 I will start questioning his abilities as well.

Okay, does no one remember the 4 years vettel won the championship, especially the last 2? He consistently won by 20 seconds, over and over. It was predictable every race how the race would go.
2010 went to the wire. 2011 was dominance. 2012 was close and went to the wire. 2013 was dominant from the summer onwards. I've never seen a driver dominate like that. For me what makes a dominant car is what both drivers can do with it. It doesn't matter who wins, as long as the team mate is second. Rosberg is second 90% of the time they finish together which indicates that they have a great package and are maximising it. With Vettel and the Red Bulls however, it was all Vettel. Webber didn't even get close except in 2010 and the start of 2012 when they banned the blown diffuser for a short period of time. This is why I think Vettel's run of form was more exceptional than Hamilton's; simply because (my opinion only) that the Red Bull car was not as dominant as the Mercedes'. One guy made the difference and that was Vettel. 2014 was a blip for him so I can forgive him that. As they say, form is temporary while class is permanant. None of them hold a candle to a 1998 Michael Schumacher though. That guy was something else.
