    Picture number 3 must be of a different car? So the pump is mounted horizontally above the valve body with the hardline replaced by a banjo bolt soft line. Compact.

    It's quite a common conversion and parts are available in kit form..

    It would be nice if someone did a detailed write up with pics on the 360 pump conversion on the 355 as the kit from Ricambi does not come with any instructions.

    His point was that this specific conversion was done differently than the usual one. I did mine the standard way like all the others I have seen, this one places the pump in a different orientation.

    I've done lots of 360 pump updates.You would think the last photo is of a different car trust me its not thats my whole point.If you look at photo three they did the update without the hill engineering adapter which costs $500.00 plus lots of work to install.Not only that my car has no prime time at all or blinks you just put in the key hit the fab and put it in gear. this update can be done in about 1.5 hrs the only thing you would need is the pump and to make up one steel braided line with a banjo fitting.I will post a photo of the plumbing.

    Max at Daytona in Toronto has been replacing the 355 pump with the 360 for years. They are more reliable and shift faster too.

    Ok, I think I got the perspective right, the pump is slung under the original location of the motor, at first it looked like it was above. I see how the return works but unfortunately I am stuck at work and can't go into my garage to look at my car and figure out the feedpoint for the high pressure line. But I have a guess or two, maybe under the pressure sensor? A compact and novel installation for sure. I sure wouldn't undo my Hill conversion method just to do it this way but if I ever did another one this looks like a clever way to go.

    -Love the comments thinking you just discovered the notion of the conversion, rather than a new method.

    What they had done was to make a steel braided line with a banjo fitting that goes between the accumulator and power head. They used a t fitting for the larger hose.Thats why i guess it almost has zero prime time and you dont need the $500.00 hill adapter that takes hour's to install.I cant see this talking more than 1.5 hrs to do.I've bought 360 pump motors for 450.00 on Ebay and i would figure it would cost about $100.00 for the steel hose to be made up so i think now you could be into a 360 pump update for about $550.00 and abit of labour.

    Awesome find Michael but im lost. Im a picture guy and i just dont see it yet. Kinda like those pictures you stare at until they come to you. I will just have to keep looking. I am going to uodate mine this year so please keep us rookies posted.

    If you look at photo three where the hose goes is the part that is replaced with the hill adapter that cost's $500.00 bucks and lots of labour to install.they were able to keep that org part so it makes doing the update a lot cheaper and i could see doing this in about 1.5hrs and a total parts cost with the steel braided hose for about $550.00.I know guys that have paid 2.5k for the 360 update.I will post a picture of the plumbing anybody could do this..you dont even have to remove your bumper.

    Michael just to let you know in case you dont browse the other site, myF1 when it blew the 30 amp fuse under the pass footwell it worked when i replaced the fuse. The problem howver was from ypur pic 3 the bkack wire was partially broken, thus the reason the fuse blew. When. I did the gold kit i did not replace that plug because i figured i would do it later. Well now is later i guess.

    Nice now thats starting to make sense. Just to share the gold kit did not have the crimp connectors for this plug I guess. I went out to my shop and low and behold the connectors for some of our gauges in our Kenworth trucks use the same so i pushed out the old ones and fixed it. Now my ferrari is part kenworth ha ha.

    From what i can see we leave our pump in and attach the hoses to the old pump as well. Is that right?

    If you look at the two pics michaels and mine it looks like all they did was add a tee fitting for the new pump and a stainless banjo to go between the accumulator and the old pump. Then just plug the wires in. Looks like the old pump is still there sitting dormant.

    The old motor is removed if you look very close.

    Oh ok, so where was the hose for the old motor or do you use a plug of some type?

    Ok thanks michael. So in a nutshell we would need a plug, a pump, a braided line with banjo, a hose, and a tee fitting. Did i miss anything! Thanks in advance.

    No Hose needed.

    1 pump
    1 braided hose with banjo fitting
    1 5/8 T fitting
    1 plug
    plus a fitting on the pump for the 5/8 hose.
    Its hard to see but they had to of used some kind of spacer for the banjo end and the accumulator because the threads are not that long on the accumulator.I wish i could take it all apart but i'm trying to sell the car and it works so good that i don't want to FCK anything up..lol
