You mean the small burgers? I envy you having White Castles in Kentucky. On the other hand, my waste line is thankful that the nearest one is ca. 500 miles away…T

I can tell you are a true connoisseur! After considerable "research" - I have come to the conclusion that the double cheese has the appropriate meat to bread to cheese to grease ratio! I used to be able to eat a half dozen in my youth. Now, 2 is my quota or TUMS for me as well. :)

Seriously? 6 White Castle sliders WAS your limit? I've been known to consume 6 Burger King Whoppers, or 12 McDonald's cheeseburgers at a sitting. For White Castle? I don't know how many they called a "bag," but it was surely well over 12, and it always seemed like more of a snack.

p.s.: Last time I devoured 6 Whoppers (along with a large chocolate shake) while "dining in" - the manager paid for my meal.

Alas, I'm a light weight in the burger eating category. I once ate two Whoppers in grad school (heck, I had a two for one coupon, why not?), & was sick for days!...T

I literally took one bite of one White Castle burger in my entire life.

I've never ate dog food but feel that's as close as I will get :D

Anyone know of a burger stand near the University of Southern California........1980s. Called Tommy Burgers? Curious if they still exist. Fantastic.

The food I feed my dogs is better and you could actually eat it if you had to. I don't think I could say the same thing about White Castle.

They are both good. The two products have almost nothing in common.

A few months ago, I went to the White Castle in Vegas just before it opened. I walked in on an employee training class which had a mountain of fresh food for the new workers. I asked for a free burger :).

They have 2 locations in the San Fernando valley. I don't know about South Central.

There really is no comparison. In and out blows away White Castle.

Oh white castle is so bad but we don't have it in Canada. This means I don't have any historic or tradition with it and every once in awhile I want it because I can't have it.

Back when I was a consultant and travelling a lot, I worked with John, who always knew (no matter where we were) where the nearest White Castle was. Priceless companion as this was before cell phones.

One time we flew through Chicago and his brother met us at the airport to give John a travel pack - a gross (the only appropriate unit of measure) of frozen WCs. Now that's a brother.

If White Castle were a brewery or vineyard, which would it be?

    ;)

(I have to say that a well made double cheese with extra pickle, no ketchup, can hit the spot on occasion -- I just try to ignore the fact that this is Grade Z meat.)

My ex's nephew was hospitalized almost a week with e-coli from a Whopper he ate.

I managed to get mild cases of food poisoning TWICE from Whoppers eaten at the Burger King near the Illinois State U. campus.

Still love the things now and again. White Castle? Ehhh, I'll eat 'em if somebody gives me a bunch, but won't stop there myself. Oddly, the Discount Food place across the street from my shop has boxes of frozen White Castle burgers in their freezers - if I had seen a price on them, I might have bought a box just to see if they were at all similar to the normal product.
