Back in the saddle after 3 months away.. travel, moving around, bad weather.. took a while for things to line up.

Quick run out with instructor for refresh, do engine fail etc and all good.

Any female flight attendant pics ?

As a teenager, I flew SWA in the late 70's. During this time, my first choice was always the aisle seat over the window.

LOL..... No flight attendants, just the wife in the right seat (when she doesn't kick my azz out of the left seat). She does look pretty awesome in Hot Pants though!

The Cessna shot is more exciting. Very cool comparison, though.

Today, Adam (my CFII) and I were set to take off out of KAND and do some practice in actual. We filed an IFR flight plan round robin from KAND to KAND via GRD FREST KSPA and taxied to Runway 17 while requesting my clearance. After run up, the RCO guy came back with a clearance, but gave a hold for release instruction. Then he came back again and said he was sorry, but the radar at KGSP is out and they can't accommodate the request. So, Adam calls directly to KGSP and asks for a clearance out of their airspace to KAVL, just so we can go somewhere and practice. The controllers at KGSP cover 11 airports including their own. For the last month, their radar has been out, so they can only allow one airplane at a time to take off and land at any of those given airports. Their radar is out because they are in the process of raising it to overcome nearby trees. (That is another long story). Net net, the ILS at KAVL was U/S so we decided not to go anywhere. Too bad, as it would have been fun to get some more experience in actual. Took a pretty photo of the plane, though, just finishing up preflight before taxiing.

That is so cool! How did you have the opportunity to fly it?

To clarify -- I was a passenger, not a pilot. The plane is on tour and dropped by my local airport

Snap! Whoa...truly incredible. Would love being a passenger while you're on the job. This is definitely not your ordinary day job experience.

Love the Cessna shot... much clearer, more detail and presence.

    Low tide/surf for that pic?

CRJ is boring by comparison. Maybe due to higher altitude.

    V. interesting.

What a great experience that must have been for you. I had a friend who recently passed away. She had 900 hours piloting a DC3.

I can clean the windows on the Cessna, United apparently aren't so picky with the CRJ....:) :)
