I just purchased SN 4004, a US GTS from 1972. The car was very original in every way except not having it's original exhaust, air pump and other associated air tubes, etc and the fast idle circuit. The car currently has a Stebro exhaust and no emissions garbage and runs beautifully! It is a fantastic driver and I will keep it in this configuration for driving purposes, however, I would like to get my car Classiche certified and one year I will probably show it at FCA nationals and/ or Cavallino, so I would like to have these items so that I could reinstall them for show purposes and then remove them once the car has been shown.

First question, for Classiche certification does anyone know what all components I need to have?

Second, I assume this stuff was NLA a long time ago, so does anyone have an idea where I can find these items?

Your answer is all detailed in Tables 44-51 of the Blue Parts manual 113/75, if you don't have an OEM one here is a reputable seller's
Ferrari Dino 246 GT 1975 Coupe Spyder Spare Parts Catalogue | eBay

You'll probably want that original book, but I sell a photo copy of the same but the pages are shifted so that when you open the binder the diagram is on the top sheet and the bottom sheet has the parts list. Ferrari put these back-to-back which causes you to constantly flip pages.
    http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/ferrari-parts-collectibles/405223-ferrari-dino-246-gts-blue-parts-book-113-75-special-format-reprint-but-re-ordered.html

You're correct, back in the day many of the Dino 246 emissions components were considered "garbage" and removed from Dinos and discarded.
This will make your search tough.

Does ANSA count as the original exhaust??

    Didn't they supply the Factory???

They will still make whatever you need, there is a special Ferrari guy to talk to though, in Georgia.

This forum software doesn't like the special characters in the pdf name and shortened the link.
Goto ferraridatabase.com then downloads and parts manuals, the dino stuff is there.

Contact Tom Shaughnessy here. User ID is "shaughnessy" (clever, eh?)

I'd guess if anyone has this stuff sitting around, he would.

Air pump can cause major disruptions to your motor should it seize, which they have been known to do.

Also Gt auto parts. where are they again guys?

Yes, Ansa did make the OEM. At least 3 different types that I've seen.
As Rob & Paul have said here before "the last 10% of the restoration will consume 90% of your effort" !

Your browser isn't picking up on the .pdf link special characters, but the manuals page is there,

I already have the parts manuals so I can get all the part #'s that I need, my issue is this stuff is NLA so locating a complete emissions system is really hard. I have talked to T Rutlands already and they can get some of the stuff, so I many have to just piece it together from various sources. However, I was hoping that somewhere someone has a complete system that was taken off a car and would be available.

Incidentally, I talked to a previous owner (an Fchatter) who told me that when he sold the car in 2012 it contained all this equipment in a box that he passed on to the new owner. Unfortunately, between the car being sold by Gooding's Monterey in 2012 and Autosports Design purchasing it at auction and selling on to the owner I purchased it from, all this stuff has come up missing.

Yeah, Dealers/Prior owners have been holding back the goodies from car sales for decades. The high value of the Manuals, tools, goodies and emissions sell separately for more.

On a positive note, I'll bet you still have the extra electrics on the Marelli mounting plate in the trunk on RHS and the waffle can mounting bracket for the alternator, perhaps even the emissions pump too?
Got photos of your engine area?

I am out of town now so I can't check, but I believe I have the U.S. Alternator, air pump, clutch, mounting plate, and the air injection manifold for one side of the engine. The latter fits between the head and header.

I just bought a FIAT Pininfarina 124 Spyder.
It's pretty amazing the parts I recognize, as matching my 308GTB.

Our gas, oil, radiator caps, all of that cross right over into the FIAT book and they are for once, dirt cheap!

So as the valve crossover above shows, keep posting about what you need.

In addition to Rutlands, who is moving or has recently, recall GT Car Parts, and FerrParts out in Cali has been very helpful to me on my cars.

Concours showing requires the equipment installed and appear as original, but you don't necessarily have to have it operational, just look that way :)

Good news is at anything under the national level, the judge most likely won't know what to look for, or where to look FOR it.

I would PM Nuvolari , who is also a sponsor.

I'm surprised he hasn't posted in this thread, Or you could PM him, but he would a good source to discuss how to attain Dino parts, missing or otherwise for your car as he just went through an extensive restore and spent a great deal of time with important details that could help you.

    Good luck

Perhaps he could but there's huge differences between Nuvolari's Dino (Euro M-series) and this one (USA E-series).
