The Hiro P4 Spider is a very good kit, but some things could have been even nicer. Still the Hiro P4 is really the only game in town unless you find an old Ultimodels P4.
The new Hiro Ferrari 330 P4 Berlinetta 1/12th kit will be out in mid September. It comes in 3 version. Kits are K492 version A, K493 version B and K494 version C. He only made 25.. production stopped with a disagreement. I know because I got nr. 25 from mr. Fumey years ago.. extremely rare the best curbside P4 I have (and I have several) At one time I had the MG, but I didn't like it and sold it.. What I do have is 2 kits by Rosso Corsa in 1:14. (made in the 1980's.) Got them a few years back from Italy.. Not 100% complete, and a lot of work, but just as rare as the Fumey.
From what I see on pictures, the proportions, especially the front, are plain wrong. Not for that money. Thanks. Seems to be a problem with closed wheelers in big scale. Their '62 GTO is unimpressive as well with its long front. Even Tamiya didn't get their 1:12 closed wheelers right. But at least those are cheaper. Not to blame them completely: MFH 1:12 open wheelers are great. Will try to get a 312 F1 67' when the hoarders are getting rid of their overfilled stocks Best Regards Martin
Wait so he made a P4 as well? We were chatting about him making a dino 206sp. Do you have the dino also? EDIT: I did send MFH an inquiry asking if they had plans to make the dino 206s. They said they werent, but the seed has been planted...
yes, I also have an unbuilt dino kit in my collection. If you are interested, I know a collector having the dino kit prepainted for sale... (just PM me and i'll forward your emailadress)
MFH looks a bit messy... The fit is not as good as their 250GTO's I am not impressed looking at these pictures
I can't tell from the pictures since they used a wide angle lens. The Spider kit from Hiro was pretty good but could have been better, mainly on the rivet and high detail area. Next new book from Hiro is 1970 Can Am....Did not know Japan was into Can Am. Maybe they will do a Chaparral 2A, 2E 2J in 1/24th or 1/12th !!!! Or maybe a 917/10 in 1/24th scale or 1/12th scale. A few more 1/12th Hiro P4 Berlinetta photos. At around $600.00 this kit is not over priced for a full detail limited edition. In fact I would not be surprised if Hiro just breaks even on these 1/12th projects. Kind of funny that we have people on Ferrarichat complaining about it being to expensive. This is a website devoted to cars that cost several thousand dollars to have fluid changes every few thousand miles(it seems Ferrari and Maserati know a sucker when they see one). 1/12scale Fulldetail Kit : Ferrari 330 P4 [Closed body] » MFH Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Carlos sent me a set of his new Pan Am Lancia D23 and D24 decals. He has them in 1/43rd, 1/32nd and 1/24th scale and they look very well done as usual. Here is a link to his models/decals. cadun_es | eBay Also Pattos Place has done decals for the Ferrari 750 Monza 1954 car #2 in 1/24th scale. As you can see they love stockcars but also do some nice sportscar decals. They do take a clear coat. Pattos Place Slot Cars & Decals
Bermat are doing this older Lancia Aprilia in 1/24th scale. Not sure when it will be released. Also Fein Design did a Bizzarrini P538 Lemans and Can Am 1/24th slot kit and will do a Maserati 570 and 300 slot soon, also in 1/24th. They have a huge Gurney Westlake GT40 Lemans 1969 motor in the works in 1/8th scale!! Extreme detail. Fein Design does some very detailed slot car body kits. Profil 24 does assist them along with a few other talented people. Although expensive you will love the quality. http://fein-design-modell.de/ Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

Fred Suber built the Hiro 1/12th series I Ferrari GTO kit. It really shows they did a good job capturing the lines on this car very well. When these are sold out the prices will skyrocket. Detail yes. Overall shape No. At that price I expect thorough finetuning of the mould. But they simply didn't get the shape right. Unfortunately the best rear appearance is the 1:18 Kyosho die-cast. The best front view the Revell 1:12 die-cast.
