I am contemplating removing the cats and replacing them with Straight pipes on my 2000 Euro 360 Modena F1 with the CS Racing Exhaust.
I had Capristo exhaust and pipes on my 355 and liked that setup.

What are your preferences on pipes? What is the best way to avoid the Check Engine light?

    thanks!

In a pre 2001 my Euro version car most probably you will see no CEL. I tried 100 cell cats, direct test pipes, oem headers, AP headers with every combinations with oem, timate and factory racing exhausts and I have never had CEL because of these combos in my 1999 car.Post 2001 cars are a bit more sensitive but i do not know the real fact about it.
Only issue with test pies is fast frying thermocouples. I almost needed to change one side every 2 year.

Capristo hands down. Combine that with their race exhaust and headers.....unbelievable high pitched F1 scream.

Im running this set up in my 430 and it's hands down the best set up out there.

Full write up w/ videos coming soon....

As far as CEL...only a software tune will do that. I dont knowanyone that's had success with o2 extenders.

I didn't know that Capristo made 360 headers. Do you have a link?

Was your setup louder with Factory Racing Exhaust or Timate Titanium?

They are different animals. with high revs timate titanium is high pitching F1 car. It is the most screeching exhaust I have ever seen (including F430 kreisseig super howl).
This is the Timate with test pipes and AP headers.

Factory racing exhaust is a bit more bass baritone. When valves on it is boomy and than slowly getting pitchçing but never as much as titanium. When valves off it is murmuring like a werewolf, but civilized.
This is the Factory Racing Exhaust with test pipes and APheaders .

The owner with Timate set up should learn how to downshift.. Horrible..

Apologize. I thought that was a random clip found on you tube. No worries. Practice rev matching. It takes time to get the throttle blip right.

I meant to say "fab speed" straight pipes in above post.

I have Tubi testpipes on mine with Tubi exhaust (stock headers). I like the sound a lot - but it is loud. Not bad while just coasting but as soon as you apply throttle it's on! Fun for weekend drives, but if I were to drive longer distance would prefer at least a valved solution :)

I'm gonna be devil's advocate and say, get the cheapest pipe you find. It's a straight pipe, this is one thing you don't have to "bend over" for. I bought a ceramic coated set on Ebay for 650 and I felt that was highway robbery.
