Yesterday smg2 replied to my thread on the 12mm vs. 14mm for QVs with: "Qv and 328 heads are the same in combustion chamber size and pentroof angle. Some Qv's have 12mm plugs, I don't know if it's euro vs us or simply a date thing honestly." Franny
I will defer, as I only know the early cars...at some point, they switched to the smaller plug hex size.
Well, after his post I checked my archives, and although 328 heads and QVs heads may be interchangeable, it is clear from "Sport-Auto", a reputed french magazine, qoting the factory press file for the - then new - 3,2 engine in december 1985 that the 12mm plugs appeared for the first time on new production with the 3,2 engine; the change of plug diameter was explained by the adoption of new pistons on the 3,2 engine, enginereed to give "squish" effect (quoted from the same factory press file). Furthermore, the same factory press file as quoted says that the cam lobes of the camshafts of the 3,2 engine have a different profile than those of the QV. To me (but that's just me) any QV with 12mm plugs has probably not the original heads. But that's just me... Rgds
You learn a lot of things in this discussion about tool rolls. I think just 328 has 12 mm spark plugs, but I don't know. I just know that the 208 turbo has 14 mm sparkplugs (Champion N2G) and the GTB/GTS turbo intercooler also has 14 mm sparkpugs (Champion N84G). But they both are 2 valves engines. ciao
http://www.ebay.com.hk/itm/Ferrari-Tool-Kit-Jack-Kit-Wrenches-Screwdrivers-Pliers-Spark-Plug-Wrench-308-365-/161779466008 Currently on eBay for $5999. It's missing only the 10/11mm wrench.
Considering the completeness of the whole set and the good condition of the tools, it's not that bad if you really need everything immediately 😜
Yes, it's a great kit, looks perfect, but the price is almost 10% of a car price. There are excellent reproductions of the jack kit for sale at Eurospares and it's not difficult to have a reproduction of the tool kit bag that you can fill with some similar tools with some original ones among them. Ciao

That means 175 euro each + shipping. The only difference will be that they are new and not used. ciao
The knowledge on this board never ceases to amaze me!! Now, I just need my one more screwdriver to complete my set. I would love to find the light and the window crank as well if anyone has one cheap!!! PDG
MY original toolkit, as is in the pic, i ask 750 euro which i think is very low even if missing something. tools are marked Ferrari crom vanadium
Emilio, Your wrenches ( Chiave ) do not have a brand, for instance "Everest" (typical of the late seventies), "Polytools" ( more or less 1980-83 ) "Utema" (82-84) or "Kravm" ( more or less 1983 to end of the 3x8 serie? Rgds
Yeah, I should ask him if he has any spares laying around...although he mostly had early stuff while mine is such a late QV. I am sure he will turn up in this thread again sooner or later. PDG
He already has...(see previous posts; he is never very far when a thread about tool kits is opened, you know!) Rgds
After an all day long search at Imola fair today, I found just a Lamborghini Espada window emergency crank. Ciao

Alberto, Those screwdrivers look "550 Maranello /360 Modena" vintage to me, i.e, end of the nineties. Ciao. Bruno
I just installed the cigarette lighter you sent me, it works perfectly (not that I will use it, but it's just nice to have your equipment working as they should!). Thanks a lot!
