I learned in another thread that 360/430 is cable shift. 348 is as well. Do any of the other mid engine cars use a shift rod or are all of the rest cable?

    Just curious.

My 3.2 Mondial had rods all the way.

In fact, all Mondials use rods except the t, which has the same motor/gearbox as the 348 (cables).

Except the F1. That is neither cable nor rod.

My Mondial 3.2 had a rod shift and completely embarrasses my 348.

After I changed the shaft seals on my 3.2 the shifting was phenomenal, best of any standard trans I've owned. All gears/syncros smooth as silk, in all temps (Florida).

Surprisingly, my 348 is really good.
