Grigio is most definitely a more subdued look, especially for the F40.

Is this the one with the leathered interior and with the Testarossa seats? Ex Sultan of Brunei's.

You are correct (1 of 7 he ordered). To each their own but grey is a color with more class than sport so I'd only use it in an appropriate situation. F40 in Grigio is subtle (nice way to say boring) and looks like an old 80's car (rightfully so) while RC F40 somehow escapes that view. F12VS would benefit greatly from a livelier color IMO.

The wonderful thing about color choice is its such a personal decision. Part of the fun of being on the list is being able to tailor a car that is to your tastes. No matter what color you chose its only a mistake if its not you.

    Congratulations Tim!

So where does black fit into that? Just look at all the positive comments on black Enzo's, F40s etc.

In fact, look at the various LF's and to my eye, my favourites are either the Grigio Ferro car and possibly Peters TDF with the BF detailing. Neither of those colours could really be called loud, just very elegant.

Grigio on a F12 VS is great in my eyes!

I thinks with the carbon parts and the retro scoops it wil look very
    sporty but also very classic.

Look at all the classic Ferraris in various shades of grey/ silver. They aren't all red.

    Agreed

They look good in most colors! Grigio titanio looks fantastic and Grigio ferro (I've only seen pics) looks great as well. Grigio medio...yuck. 😛

Ferro will look super cool on the VS. My 599 GTO is in Ferro. I've specced my VS in Argento (possibly Auteuil) with something extra, which I'm waiting to hear back on. As for Grigio on the F40, not liking it, like Batman going pink.

IF I have to make my mind up on Friday, I will probably go GF, but I would like more time and want to see a few cars so hopefully there will be the opportunity to amend as RHD cars wont start until probably Summer next year.

I love this sort of problem and decision-what a privilege.

It is indeed a privilege to have such a problem. Having owned a GF 599 HGTE I can tell you that I didn't regret the choice for a second. It is a sporty yet elegant color and shows the lines of a car much better than G Silverstone. My HGTE had virtually all the CF options you could order (+ plenty extra compionaro via the Atelier) back in those days and GF with glossy CF works really well. Whatever you end up choosing I'm confident it will look stunning as you have good taste when it comes to cars and colors ;)

I'd go brighter, but it occurs to me that it depends on where you live and what's going on around you. There are places where a stealthier look makes more sense.

Just curious. But have you ever considered one of the darker Metallic reds like Rubino? Beautiful and sporty, but not very "loud". Would probably look very nice with a Grigio Silverstone stripe.

There's no reason RHD cars should be later as the F12 is already in RHD production. It's only with new models.

Back to the dealer tomorrow for another session so will look again, although not keen to have another red car, but of all the Reds, I agree the darker ones are the best and it should look very good on this car.

What about Bianco Fuji with EC/Atelier accents apropos to tone it down? May be a solution to retain a monotone, sophisticated, and quiet (maybe?) package without compromising the lines you're trying to tease out.

The metallic can soften the look similarly to varying shades of grey but would still cast dramatic shadows and lines, and with the right anthracite/grey/CF/etc treatment you could probably bring down the flash ordinarily reserved for brighter colors.

Tim, talking about black Enzos, i really like it. I can't say the same for the F50 or F40. I'm not with those who claim that Ferraris must be ONLY red. My favourite colour for my favourite Ferrari (430 Scud) is the Avio Metallic. For my favourite Ferrari supercar/hypercar (call it as you like) which is the Enzo is the TdF.

I've seen a LaF in GF and i have to admit that it looks really nice. Elegant is the correct word.

    :)

I saw a 599 in that color and it was very cool. Fit the car well

A very elegant and Often-Forgotten color . Many times confused with silverstone despite being darker.
