    I don't regard any Hamilton thread here to be conclusive. Many F1 fans simply ignore them because there's no point in even participating - this place is so full of rabid haters that it's often distasteful. There's many of us completely ignoring the Hamilton hater polls and discussions. Despite the new rules, not much has changed.

    Besides, if you want to draw any conclusions from polls (although I suppose that only happens when the poll is written to stack the results anyway - eg "significantly"), then Kimi is far and away the best driver in F1 currently, since FChat seems to believe that most popular in a poll = best.

    someone else didn't read post 1 in the best driver poll and is just shooting from the hip.

    There is (almost) no Hamilton hate here!! what's wrong with you guys?? Again with the "you're either for him or against him"

    Why don't you Hamilton lovers see that it's actually possible to admire him for what he is without him being a person's favourite or being considered the best on the grid??

    It's really not that hard.

    It was the Hamilton fans that wanted to prove he was most liked, and the person considered the best driver wasn't it? None of us has tried to push any drivers as the best or most liked otherwise, hence no need to poll them

    The net result has been the banning of the most vehement Hamilton fans, due to their disagreement with the results of the polls they felt he should have won. It's much quieter and nicer in here now without the vitriol, and the jokes are actually taken as jokes, and not attacks!

    Although it is good to know that there are Hamiltons fans that do not try to convince everybody else I think you should not post the results of what is an anonymous poll...If those thought that the world needs to know who they are cheering for they would have said so...

    By default, voters are not made public; It's a setting you can choose and the poll notifies everyone ahead of voting if it's public.

    Sure, I read the disclaimer about not really meaning the significantly part - but 90% of your respondents obviously didn't, as they kept mentioning it. How hard would it have been to alert a moderator to change the title, 5 minutes after you posted it? Personally, I do believe Hamilton is as good as Alonso and Vettel, but I didn't bother answering the poll. Stacked deck, loaded question, etc. certainly not conclusive.

    I'm not a Hamilton lover, more like an admirer exactly as you describe - not my favorite driver, not the absolute best on the grid. Your polls didn't actually offer those options - they were deliberate to divide. Hamilton is in fact a gifted, extremely talented and now well rounded driver. Simple facts. So is Vettel, and Alonso. Everyone else is a level below. Maybe Riccardo and Max have the potential to achieve that top level too, but they're not there yet. I don't have to like Hamilton as a favourite to acknowledge those facts, and if I dislike Hamilton's "style" or personality I'd be a fool to pretend that he's not one of the best on the track.

    Now if we could only do something about those deluded Massa fans! ;). I bet if Aircon posted a "who's a better driver, Hamilton or Massa?" Poll, this forum would vote Massa on top! :D

    I might be wrong, but I think you're actually agreeing with me.

    One inadvertent point of the poll, actually, was not to sh*t can Lewis, but to show the guys who non stop try to reinvent history to prove that Lewis is the best, that most people don't agree. Most people, including you and me it seems, simply don't think he's the best on the current grid.....

    and another issue they have, and maybe you do too, is that the majority of us who don't agree can only think that because we hate lewis.

    So, it wasn't a poll of hate, derision and vitriol, it was just a poll to show that despite the constant propaganda by the fanbois, most of us on fchat aren't convinced that Lewis is the second coming.

    ok....I just noticed that this poll is closed.

    For 15 people, Lewis is their favourite driver.

    For 90 people, Lewis is NOT their favourite driver.

    Now....can the Lewis fanbois (none of whom seemed to vote) just leave the vast majority of us to have our own opinion without you ramming yours down our throat? It does NOT mean we hate him......it just means he's not our favourite.
