    As regards your previous comments about contributions, there are some people who always go above & beyond or out of their way to make meaningful & selfless contributions to the community, for no other reason than to share the passion. I do what little I can, and salute everyone else who joins me in that effort. This thread is a monument to the joy the cars bring to all of our lives.

    By the way, I note your car's noise-abatement solution, with the LP400, another driving characteristic is the gearbox whine, literally like the sound of a dentist's drill in higher gear, something which I quite enjoyed in all 3 of them that I owned over the years.

    Yes, its for noise and heat. But you are right, the gearbox noise is distinctive and mechanical and adds to the character of the car and I enjoy it too.

    Shots taken on my old mobile/cell phone so not great but best I have. Pic shows James Mann a well known car photographer here in the UK taking shots for a new Lambo book. I always think my car looks better in dark miserable weather or at night as the orange goes a deeper colour, and becomes the most orange of oranges, but he wanted it in the bright sun when it contains hues of yellow, but I was not going to argue with a bloke who wins awards for his craft. stephen

    No. It's an old ex WWII airfield ( the house in the background is the old airport tower) and there are many around York , the nearby village being Tholthorpe , perhaps 10 miles north of York , the moors are to the east and are more rolling hills. The vale of York is a long stretch of flatish land covering a large area down to York and being so flat was perfect for runways . The famous Yorkshire dales being to the west of York.

    Another addition inbound. 1989 Lamborghini Countach. Same owner last 10 plus years. RARE Pearl White over Red leather interior with ONLY 4,908 miles on her. A full engine out service performed with installation of new clutch, tires and sport exhaust. ALL tools, books, keys as well as documentation from birth till now. 1 of only 5 Pearl White 89 Anniversary cars to be produced from our research. Should arrive to our showroom near the end of the month.
