As I had to remove my steering wheel shroud to locate and fix an issue I thought it would be a good idea to clean and remove all the sticky stuff on the shroud. I used Oxi Clean like I read in other posts and it did the trick. They came out smooth as glass. I was going to clear coat them but I thought since I had some carbon fiber wrap laying around I would give it a try. Wow, they came out looking fantastic. Couldn't be happier. Can wait to put them back in the car.

What brand wrap did you use? Got a link? That looks pretty glossy, not like most I've seen.

    That looks great.

As Eric said, the 3M Carbon Fiber wrap I've seen and used is more 3D and matte looking. That looks very realistic.

I used the gloss 4D carbon fiber wrap on eBay. I thick I'm going to try it on the center counsel next. I bought the stuff to wrap my Baby Grand Piano during the winter. Who new it would come out that good. Your right most of the carbon wraps I have seen also looked flat.

Looks sharp! Con cpmplex curves people have been doing pretty well with the water decal carbon fiber too.

I used this same stuff to do my engine bay panels and my interior mirror triangles. It looked great but kept bubbling up. I pulled it off and used 3m adhesion promoter for wraps and redid them but it still didn't hold. I ended up just getting real CF. I hope it stays for you. The stuff is low cost and really looks good.

I hope it holds also, it really looks good. I did my targa roof 2 weeks ago and it has been on in the heat and it still looks as good as the day I did it. My roof was painted to match the car, I just wanted something different.

I'd see how the engine bay panels would bubble under the heat.
but did the mirror triangles also bubble?
I don't see why they would?

Looks good. I am thinking of making a splitter and wrapping it with this.

Starting splitter now. Making a template. Thinking 1.25 inch cord width.

Template is done with a nice blending curve to the bumper edges. Used my compass set but no French curve. Didn't need it luckily. I'll get materials on Wednesday. Going to try a laminate of two layers of vinyl board, silicon adhesive, and then the wrap with clear coat. We'll see. May staple it too if I can make them recessed or flush. Then use 3M heavy duty tape with no drilling.
