Haven't heard this song in ages, randomly came on during a run yesterday. Good tune to relive http://youtu.be/_TvH6twZClM
Modest Mouse. To indy & angst ridden for my old fart ears. Rush - now that's more like it. Always impressed you could get so much sound from a three person band. No one sounds like Geddy Lee. Since Foo Fighters were mentioned a short while back, thought folks might enjoy this. FF+ Rush. http://youtu.be/yqHTql0XJow T
Ok gents , I'm off to Key West tomorrow to go fishing for a couple of days. I'll keep you posted with the fishing and the tunes selection. Ken , Tom I'll catch up with you guys soon.
Safe and enjoyable travels, Kirk, in one of my fave places on the planet. And, although cliche, bust out some of this while you're bar hopping on Duval. http://youtu.be/OJi4bln-hHQ Have a conch fritter for me. T
The Last Waltz Glad I was able to see some true jam/ballad bands in their prime or at least in the twilight when they remembered who they were. To add, the tones and collaboration of the singers on Take A Load Off bring tears to me every time. So deep.
Great choice, Brian. The Weight is one of those songs that a hundred people can listen to and come to 100 different interpretations. When I hear it, I think of my dad & how hard he had to work. So, yeah, tears here too. Another YouTube fave of mine by The Band http://youtu.be/jREUrbGGrgM T
I just discovered my F150 has a CD player. I'm in a nostalgic mood. Since my 20 something neighbor mentioned liking classic punk. I've been on a classic 70's, early 80's punk binge. WARNING ADULT LANGUAGE https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7KNUnLaRekg
No poons yet but lobsters were for dinner. We are headed out now for mahi and billfish. Ps. Linkin Park this am. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Yummy! Can't believe I didn't put together Key West & fishing trip & not originally suggest this tune! http://youtu.be/UruXWui1EG8 Best of luck fishing...T
Fishing report 5 mahi , one barracuda , missed a sailfish and jumped one tarpon. The poon was for Ken. Time to go home.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CfihYWRWRTQCan't seem to shake this guy. Great song, would have sworn it ended one of the Bourne flics , not the Cruise movie....
Music for movie trailers. Who knew! I've been on a James Bond theme song spree. IMO Live & Let Die is the best, although Adele's Skyfall is quite good...T
Today at the beach : Stone Temple Pilots on a Pandora mix. Great shizzle. Including Pearl Jam , Soundgarden and Alice in Chains.
Thanks for the poon btw! Good beach list! AIC is the constant man, can't quit them! But my mood's improved and morale is good! I was rockin' some Mad Season today, Alexisonfire and Sublime, had myself a cigar and some BBQ.
Sublime was one of those bands that sounded like no one else when they broke into major play. Kind of a rap-ska-punk fusion. Their leader singer ODd just before they hit the big time IIRC...T
Someone sent one of my SGT's a local rolled smoke shop in NH's "house" cigar, fantastic, medium, excellent bouquet, it drew very well in this sand-box too Now, to find that Glenmorangie 18 to accompany Yes, they had that knack, and their own carved out genre, so fantastic to blast. Bradley had that same aura that Layne had, and heroin took 'em both. It's always been sad to me to see people you KNOW will never see 30, and don't care to change that... Excellent tunes from both, respectively Hell ya! A super group before super groups existed! I miss that dude, he had "the voice"
