Due to time restraints some health problems and organization of the "Ferrari the Golden Years 1946-1966" collection please look for my "brief book reviews" in the Vintage section of F Chat. My latest review is of Franco Gozzi's book "Memoirs of Enzo Ferrari's Lieutenant" This is a very special volume and I have devoted a single review to this. Enjoy tonga's crew

Just picked up a copy of "Great Cars 4 - Ferrari 250 GT Short-wheelbase berlinetta. The autobiography of 2119 GT" by Doug Nye (ISBN 978-1-907085-23-9).
An incredible book. 318 pages on one car! You wouldn't think it possible, but it's so detailed with the complete story of the car, including copies of rare documents, bios of all the owners (including Ronald Stern) and great photos. A great job by Doug Nye.
Not cheap, but it's a lot of book. In my opinion it sets a new standard in automotive books.

Where did you find your copy? I have located it at a dealer in The Netherlands, but they want BIG $s to send it probably by first class air mail. Any ideas. Thanks tonga's crew

I have ordered a copy through Hive (Ferrari 250 GT Short Wheelbase : The Autobiography of 2119 GT by Doug Nye (9781907085239) | hive.co.uk) at £35.95 incl P&P. No affiliation other than as a customer. Of course you can also get it direct from Porter Press at the full price (Porter Press Home).

Thanks much for your info on ordering this. Hive is out of stock. I have an order in .with Porter Press. Much less expensive than the dealer in The Netherlands who wanted twice the price plus three times as much in postage. tonga's crew

Plainly the ones to have are those signed by the car's current owner - Ross Brawn.

NOW you tell me...!:). I noticed he was signing at Revival, but we couldn't be there this year. It's nice to know the car is in such great ownership.

Very much looking forward to the Phil Hill book, Doug. Will there be a limited or collector's edition? If so I'd like to get on the list.

    Jack
