    Guys really...

    Stop being ridiculous.

The prices they sold for are none of our business, and how could they be obtained unless someone at Goldman was dumb enough to discuss their business or the buyers are dumb enough to discuss their business.

If they sold then they sold. We can imagine the prices based on the asking price.

When someone tells you how much he paid, or how much he sold for, usually the person is lying.

Sadly I have decided to put my 95 GTS up for sale. I have been going back and forth but have decided there is only room for one F-car in my stable. I will list it broadly later in the week. I will list for 85k and I'm in no hurry. Just an FYI for anyone searching since the 95 GTS is a rare bird.

All this discussion about optimistic asking prices....

I know of a flawless red/tan 20k mile spider that just sold for $68.

That would seem to be a good selling price for a spider and maybe one of the higher prices. I see most spiders selling around 55-60.

Are you talking selling or asking? There seems to always be a convenient exchange of words here. Check out C.com and you will see only one spider with an ask less than $65, and that one has 44k mile son it. For the rest, the range is $65k to $85k. And if you bother to check the euro market you would fine that there isn't much difference between asks for any model on average. Autotrader has a wider variation for spiders with a low of $41k for a car with $53k miles on. But what they are actually selling for remains questionable. In either cars, I'm still not seeing any of these cars jumping into new owners hands. It's a very fickle market. Seems only the collector quality cars are moving at all.

You will not find another red/tan 20k mile spider in flawless condition selling under $70k. Most currently for sale are in the higher mileage category. I had a few serious buyers on the car and they all started with bids in the $65k range. Nobody even tried an offer under $60.

I'm usually not a fan of spiders, but I simply love this color combo. Someday I'll have one in this color. (I think it Hyperion Blue, which, by the way, Hyperion is the name of the local sewage treatment plant...no kidding....what a difference)
