There is a T coupe on Boston Craiglist I believe it may be the fellow who posted here a couple of times about selling his car.

 

H on the number plate indicates year of registration (Aug '90 to July '91) .. in this case 1991

F40's are approx anywhere in the region of £700k -£900k in the UK at the moment

 

He has it listed here now on Fchat in the classifieds.

 

If it matters to anyone, that guy with the engine issue/torn apart blue QV on ebay last week in TX will sell for $14-$15K. You can still find it on ebay if you search completed listings for contact info

 

After about five great years, the hobbyist within wants to move on to another conquest but this beautiful Mondial must leave the garage to make room. Know anyone looking for this head turning red beauty?

Beautiful car! Is it just the lighting or is the paint on the passenger door a different shade than that on the right rear quarter panel?

haha yeah I saw that one. It seems only in Italy where they add 25% on top of the market price when it says Ferrari it looks like a very nice example though!

Went to Brightwells classic auction today and a very nice QV went through and sold for £23200 plus 10% buyers premium ... 47000 miles , lovely bodywork and interior , full MOT ..

Total price the buyer paid ... £ 23200 + [ Premium 10% + vat ] = £25984

Thats approx $39600 ...

1983 Ferrari Mondial Euro Coupe

says it's euro but lights look US ... has had a complete interior/exterior restoration according to description, and mechanicals seem to be in maintained condition. doubt it was originally red.

 

Sometimes people do this... everybody their taste, but I'm afraid not mine.

This is the first time I see that suede is used in the cockpit and doors. I have been thinking of that and still thinking. The reflection in the windshield is pretty annoying and sometimes dangerous so suede is a good option, but I will keep my black towel for now.

I spoke with the seller back in August about the car. He's had the car for several years and seemed to be extremely knowledgeable. I'm not a fan of the body-colour bumpers and trim, but the car seems to be nicely finished.

The problem with cars that have been fully restored is that they were probably once fully in need of restoration ... and no way to know what's "under" the restoration. Just like a salvage car, you need to see the "Before" photos as well as the "After". I must say that if you are not a stickler for originality, getting rid of the vinyl on the doors and dash improves the "luxury" factor. Just keep the thing out of the sun ..

 

I agree with you Russ, but try to buy an old Ferrari that not has been repainted In my hunt for a Dino and Mondial I came across just one Mondial that still had its original paint. (needed a repaint though) I wanted it but we could not settle the deal on the price and got one that was repainted without pics. Lucky no issues so far yet I need to say on the paint job or hidden damages. Then on the other hand GTOs get totalled and get still sold for millions, but then it is all of a sudden a Ferrari with a good story

Ps. this looks indeed a euro one. There is no by-pass vacuum valve on the throttle house and the fuel distributor is alu color. US models have black ones, but the VIN should tell the story
