Have you ever been to Japan? - Trust Me, when the Japanese grow up they become incredibly reserved and quiet.
If you get the chance you've got to do it, it's well worth the effort. Japan is an incredible place and the people are just superb! I've been 3 times now and love it over there. I was at the '96 GP when Damon Hill won the WDC and at the time I bore an uncanny resemblance to Damon. Everywhere I went people were not sure if I was Damon or not. I had My picture taken with a couple of fans who simply wouldn't accept that I wasn't Damon Hill! (And I was wearing a Ferrari top at the time!), and signed a couple of programmes for them! (I actually signed it Phill but made the "P" look a bit like a "D" so it looked a bit like D hill. I felt a bit guilty doing it but it seemed a bit rude not to and I didn't want to offend them!).
Ron's on the BBC right now and demanding that the F1 teams are allowed to test whenever they want to with no restrictions at all! I wonder why?
Ron says he's told Jenson he wants to keep him at McLaren next year. Says McLaren have a 2 year contract with him, with an option to drop him in year 2, but he says he told Jenson on Thursday that they have no interest in using that option and want him in the car next year!
But, Honda pays half of each of the driver's salary and may not want Jensen there. What's Ron going to say? The answer: "Nice knowing you Jensen!"
Alonso to Honda: "For sure, but please, pay Me in performance not money! I have plenty of money at the moment but I have absolutely no performance!"
