My A/C stopped blowing cold. Called Randy at RMT here in Yorba Linda CA where i live. Dropped the car off Monday. Compressor was sent out Tuesday, back and installed thursday and I now have ice cold air again for $750 parts and labor.

I don't know if i would own this car if I did not live in an area where there are many good independents. IN my year and a half of owning the car this is my first repair (I had the annual service done this summer for $1100 by Randy as well).

Called the Ferrari Dealership just for giggles and it was over $2k to get cold air again. I acutlaly think the rebuilt unit is likely to last longer than a part from Ferrari

Anyway - God bless independents and God bless air conditioning. I felt for $750 the Ferrari tax was relatively light here...

Good to learn about RMT. Thanks for posting. Can these guys do everything on a 360/430, or do they limit themselves to certain work?

No, he does everything. Place is always packed with Ferrari's and Lambos. hen i Picked it up they were working on 430 and a Diablo. They have all the diagnostic equipment, etc. I trust them with anything. Unfortunately I have a clutch in my very near future and it will be going there for it

Found an independent here in town. His shop doesn't look like much. He services just about everything. Has his own machine shop. He rebuilt the ac compressor replaced the power steering pump, new motor mounts. Changed the oil and put in new headers for 3K plus the cost of the headers. There is always a couple of Porsches or a lambo or Ferrari in his shop

This is about the most logical statement I have read on here.

What exactly was rebuilt on the compressor? A compressor clutch? Those are actually easy to do.
