Love it. Just love it! Great to see you letting those gears extend to the limiter; rather rare to see footage of it these days!
Thank you! The F12 is such an awesome machine and as you can see it was no slouch next to the 918 too!
i was driving from Munich to Milan in June this year(in the worst car i ever rented-very sad) there was a detour it was very dark and no GPS, it was "Road 13" looked like the pic with more than 10 switchbacks like in the picture posted. Was a wonderful road. i have looked on Google Maps for that road and cant seem to find it. Seeing this wonderful thread leads me to the quest does anyone know where it might be???????? We went thru Switzerland then south to Milan. It was very dark and no traffic. Was one of the finest roads I have driven on(for fun). While driving on the switchbacks I was thinking about all the wonderful cars I have owned and which car would have ben the most enjoyable. #1 would have been the Lotus Elise #2 360 Stradale. #3 was a tie among many many cars. The Lotus and Stradale were my favorite 2 cars to drive on roads like that. Next Summer I'm shipping the F12 to Europe and spending the summer wearing it out. I was in Europe 3 1/2 months this summer, since 06 i have been in Europe 2 months a year or longer. Without a car, now that my health is ok, i want to go with a car i own and take a proper tour of Europe. if anyone has any suggestions on routes roads, meeting up. That will be great. I know i am in Monaco end of August, otherwise I can be anywhere any time. Wonderful pics and thread, sorry to go a little off track with this post, it seemed like the best time to ask instead of a new thread, since this one is spot on!! kindest regards eric
Though the F12 is no slouch, to say the least, it did look like the 918 pulled away at will coming out of bends.
I had the same feeling, specially cause of the 4WD and cause the direct enemy of the 918 is NOT the F12
As the passenger in the video I would agree. However the F12 more than kept up in most other sections Also to add the F12 driver is extremely competent
Thanks Mate. In response to the others the 918 pulling away was only a matter of him getting on the throttle earlier. For sure it it faster, however it was not getting away like the 2 of us Vs the 911's and M4's behind us that we simply left for dead. Also I had to be mindful to give some space in case a car or worse a truck came the other way, so it was important not to be right up his cracker.
