Adrian, I can squeeze all of the pieces into 140cm X 265cm same as the Euro set but as you can see it does not leave much margin for error. If you wanted more room around each piece you would need to move one of the floor pieces to one end which would the require 140cm X 380cm. Hope this helps. Sorry could not get one pic of the whole set.

    Hi Adrian,
Many thanks for this awesome work!
My car is an EU one.
I'll take 2 black/blue sets if that is possible without depriving anyone else. Shipping will be to France, whenever they are ready (no rush)

Same goes for me...and awesome project!
I did send you an email to comfirm but do it here again in case.

Euro and blue for me please.

Is there a way for buyers to get the cutting patterns digitally, for example as Illustrator files?

    Al,

A poster asked what I thought your charges would be for doing a set. My thought is, whatever you charge will be cheaper than doing it wrong or wasting the rare material. Maybe you could come up with a ballpark idea. I think it would be smarter for anyone to get them from you especially in the US whether a euro or US car but once again that is my preference.

FYI, I emailed Adrian with the preference to add my order to the bulk shipment to Al, so he can handle the finishing. It would definitely be nice to know some rough ballpark cost in advance, though. :)

    Hi All

I will ship all carpet sets to fellow Gt4 owners in AMERICA via UPS ground and depending on your zip code that will be the cost plus the cost of the new boxes that will hold them correctly.
The cost of cutting and binding them I will be get a quote this week.
I'm sure the price we be very reasonable.
As for you RG it will travel free in your car when shipped

If anyone here would like to send me there USA carpet that is excellent condition as would like to compare it with the one I have two see if there is any variation due to heat, water and age

    Regards
    Al

I would gladly send mine, but it was long ago replaced by poorly fitting carpet pieces. :(

    Hi ALL,

Here is a rough outline on the cost:

Shipping cost of the bulk carpet for Germany to USA (+customs duty ) TBD

    Shipping to each owner TBD

Lay out, pattern cutting, sewing of black edging for 11 sections $250.00

I have seen two types of rear panel Aluminum and the most common masonite board

Remember that alot of the car's were converted front and rear because of the DOT with GM

shocks and the BIG bumpers that changed things in the trunk

see 14 on Luggage Compartment lid: Page 108

so please check your trunk and let me know so we cut that section to what you have in your car

    Hi, Al.

Can you explain that? Sorry, but it isn't clear to me. Thank you.

Also, I may be able to send my carpet to you to use as a pattern. Would that be helpful? If so I'll check with the shop that has it to see if they can carefully remove it.

    Thanks again.

Wow, just read this thread from the start, quite an undertaking, hats off to all involved.

Is all the current carpet production spoken for?

If not I'd like to place an order for enough of the material to make a set for a Euro Car please, (Beige/Black)

How do I go about this?

    Cheers
    Jon

Al, I have a US carpet set that I would say is in 'very good' rather than excellent condition. The pieces are not torn the vinyl edge trim is all intact. I have already drawn templates on heavy brown paper for all pieces. I intend to put this set back in my car so I am not looking for a replacement but it will be some time before my car is back on the road and thus it is available for you to use. If you are interested drop me a PM with your address and I will send you the set and templates via UPS. Cheers, John
