On any given GTO, if the original Italian Insurance card has been saved, it'll corroborate the actual day the car was driven out of the factory gates, and the all-important EE (Escursionisti Esteri) Touring plates number.

As the cars have gotten more valuable, documentation really matters.

This Insurance card belongs to 57223.

There is a 288GTO for sale at JD Classics in London, and it's in their showroom. I wish them best of luck with the sale, but I very selfishly hope they don't sell the car until after 10/28 because I'll be travelling to london on 10/26 and 27 and really hope to see it in the flesh. It'll be the first time I see one, at least from up close...

Number 3 is perfect. I like it, because it seems without miror.
Gto & testarossa monospeccio have the best miror design.

    Dear Elliott Grossman,

If you think the statement I made was just because I like myself, then good, because actually, I don't dislike myself!

Actually, the statement I made that I "place significantly more GTOs than any other entity" is pure & simple matter-of-fact, that's all.

    Allow me to explain further.

I don't sell all the GTOs, certainly not, that's impossible. But, no other one single source places @ 8 GTOs a year consistently year-after-year. None. I do my homework well, and so I know my statement to be true Cars | Joe Sackey Classics FWIW, in the past 45 days alone I've placed three (3) 288 GTOs.

You on the other hand? Not-so-much.

Look, I digress, but here's why you really made your post.

You tried to derail the sale of a 288 GTO which I just made from one well-known FChatter to another, both of whom post in this thread.

    Alas, you failed.

Two words come to mind: Sore Loser.

Sounds to me like the basis of your post was nothing more than Sour Grapes.

The famed EVO magazine Supercar Test 288 GTO will be moving to a new home soon, from one gentleman collector to another, both a pleasure to work for.

Just like to clarify that Elliott sells 9 figures every year. He doesn't need to derail a sale.

I called Elliott to learn more about another 288 GTO that was for sale. He knew the car and gave me good advice. None of these GTOs are his and he had nothing to gain or lose if I bought one over another.

    Thanks for your clarification Bill.

One would think someone of his proclaimed standing would know better than to come on this thread and make silly comments, knowing full-well the kind of response he would receive in return.

He proclaims to everyone that he does 9-figures in business. Perhaps he is being matter-of-fact. Or he really likes himself :)

Besides several people I know who have been told this by him, I too was informed that he does 9-figures in business, by none other than himself, on Tuesday the 1st of July 2014, over a year ago.

Alas, what does all this have to do with 288 GTOs? Nothing!

This is the 288 GTO thread, so, back on topic.

    All is good.

I saw a 288 last October in Beverly Hills when Ferrari was there with all of their cars. First time I have seen one in person & up close. Pictures do not do the car justice. It is such a beautiful car with a great stance. When you see it in person, your jaw will drop.
