Definitely Earls Court 1969. Meanwhile I have privately been sent two pics that are much yellower than Joe's pic. Leading candidate is 3955 giallo [yes I know it went to Rhodesia] otherwise 3946 verde miura.

many thanks, yes they seem to run it on PROVA plates even if they are not visible on the pictures (the factory clearly is not registered in Cagliari).

Please may i ask any detail of the known history ?

Ben, it was owned for a period in Italy by none other than the late Fabrizio Violati (owner of 250 GTO 3851GT for many years).

This morning I emailed William Loughran, the first owner, who bought the car from Roger Phillips off the Lamborghini stand at the show to see if he had any pictures. He kindly telephoned me.

He has no pictures of the car but remembers he was offered the car for £7500 GBP, its cost price, if he bought the car there and then which he did. He used the car pretty much as his every day car for about a year doing a few thousand miles in it when he sold it to Lord Lilford. The reason he sold it was that although he liked it, he preferred the "far superior" Ford GT40 that he'd paid £3500 for. He's a lovely man and told me about some of the fabulous cars he owns today.

    Joe,
again many thanks. I will continue to dig into its history. To explain:

i must admit i have always had a slight soft spot for golden Miuras,
that soft spot started way back in the early 70ies...

    Joe,

many thanks for the stunning period picture of the Chameleon, very nice indeed. Awesome. Probably not a very sought after color, anyway i love any Miura in golden livery.

I think i saw it way back then, but cannot remember the TI45100 plates at all and unfortunately we didnt make pictures any minute (as we do in todays world).

    Carissimi saluti

Yes, Didi bought the car and had it restored, he showed it last year in Padova I think.

To clarify, it did not had an accident with the GT40, the GT40 had a hazard, the road was blocked, the driver of the following Miura tried to avoid the collision. But with the wet road and no ABS he lost control and hit some barriers and a marshal.
Unfortunately the marshal came to death, so the damage of the SV was kind of uninteresting since it could be fixed.

I check on Miura #3925 which is under restoration here at Brussels, and yes, I discovered the stamp.

Not very distinctive, but it is well under the paint.

The body will be sandblasted soon, I ask the worker to be carefull for all the numbers and the stamp....

    Olivier,
very nice indeed to see it that "clear" with the original paint on it.

The paint of that certain small piece could eventually well be removed with chemicals if desired.

    Thank-you Olivier !

    One more - That's great !
You're the first here on this Forum to take the time for having a close look and finally confirmed the "b" Bertone logo I've noticed on a few Miura BIW.
I imagine that you now fully agree that it isn't so easy to notice this very small detail in a first approach, after a simple global looking at a Miura chassis.
I'm now impatient to have a look at your forthcoming detailed pictures of the "b" logo, after the (proper) sand-blasting job on #3925 !!!

Actually, it was almost 30 years ago in 1988, I attended a Lamborghini meet in Syon Park just west of London, and there I saw the the RHD Miura SV in Azzuro Cielo, as shown in this image I took. I developed a soft spot for that livery on that day.
