I never liked the car...until I saw one. Now, it is on top of my list of favorite dream Ferrari's. With Fcars, I learned to withhold judgement until I see one in person. Even a good photo just doesn't do them justice.
Very much this. There's few cars I know that confounds more than the F50 when you see one up close and personal. In Barchetta form it loses something in pics. In the flesh it is transformed. And IMO further again when the hard top is on, then it's positively erotic lol.
Does anyone know the original brake bias of the car from factory specifications? I happen to remember around 60% front but not quite sure.
Perhaps a repost, however found this great video of Chris Harris comparing the F40 with the F50. Lovely to see: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3MDTcXGsjuo
I've seen the video before but well worth watching again, for thanks for the prompt. There's nothing to touch the F40 to blow away the mountain of cobwebs created by a week of biz meetings/airports/confcalls. Not so much blow away than hit them with cat 5 hurricane winds. Some go for a run. Bollocks. Time in an F40 But......then to the F50. It can't compete with the take me, take me, take me of the F40. So it doesn't try. It asks much more of you, more sophisticated, more serious, more complex. You have to explore her limits without the lights on (in the F40 you're exploring with floodlights on and the rock band playing). The F50 is a beautiful drive and once you build confidence, inspiring. As we've said a few posts earlier, the F50 is also transformed when you see one close up. It's epic, and that's before you start her up. Two very different personalities, one exceptional DNA.
Any one know any information beyond what's posted on the RM site? 1995 Ferrari F50 | Monterey 2015 | RM Sotheby's
This well known F50 (in the UK) turned up on Wednesday night last week with some other nice exotics at a Supercardriver event in the North West UK. Good to see it being driven. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Near Holmes Chapel. Junction 18 M6. About a mile from the junction meeting at a pub, the rear of the pub car park was reserved for these cars. Think the landlord is a SCD member. Great event.
Never thought I'd find one. Got this at Costco for $13.99 2 weeks ago. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I got the Hot Wheels one - I think it was probably 3x times that price but I think that is a fair reflection of it's lower milage in the current market Image Unavailable, Please Login
F50 is such a beautiful car. And rare in black colour! https://scontent-vie1-1.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xtp1/t31.0-8/12079803_10206289316646650_8458703749565722568_o.jpg
