Yep. I have been criticized by others (in respective ways and not via FChat) when supporting another team regardless of said sport for making a good play or on-track move and believe it would be unsporting like not to respect such plays/moves. RBR's chassis is not short of performance or is driver skill so quite possibly the removal of R-engines is what is necessary at this time, a regroup. Said entity's in control could be the issue or quite possibly the lack of funding? Must be a hard pill to swallow when one is no longer the top dog thus said blame start's getting tossed without accepting some percentage of blame. I am just trying to make sense of it all and mean no disrespect.
I can't see Red Bull getting Mercedes engines now, B-spec or otherwise, as the Mercedes board seem pretty certain they have no interest in helping to save Red Bull in any way, shape or form. And if Red Bull's plan was to use a Mercedes/Ferrari power unit as a temporary measure until VW came in and bought the team in a couple of years time, well that's never going to happen now so why should Red Bull carry on? As for Lotus, the deal has not been done yet and the letter of intention from Renault only states that they are seriously looking into the possibility of buying Lotus, it does not state that they are making a firm commitment to buy Lotus at this time, so legally speaking, the letter is almost worthless. I'd say it's a bit early to be celebrating full grids just yet!
It's a CONSPIRACY, I tell you! Look CLOSELY at the symbol on Ferrari 330 P4 #0858's steering wheel, and you will SEE! The three-pointed star conspiracy runs back to the 1960's! And into sports car teams much more Prestigious than Red Bull! https://scontent.fsnc1-1.fna.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xap1/v/t1.0-9/12122625_1204471546246156_6282592157170809911_n.jpg?oh=f1ce6752bdd296ea32c6fc631b451318&oe=569AB649 Jacob
The latest rumour is that Red Bull are back in talks with Renault after being turned down by both Mercedes and Ferrari for a supply of 2016 spec power units: Red Bull back in talks with Renault over F1 engine supply - F1 news - AUTOSPORT.com
Bernie is currently claiming that it's all sorted, there will be 22 cars on the grid next year and that Red Bull will have a competitive engine in their car, but in true Bernie style, he wouldn't elaborate any further. I have to say that based on how Red Bull have treated Renault this season, if I were Renault I'd shut the door in their faces! (Assuming this latest rumour is true - This is F1 after all!)
Serves them right. Nobody wants to supply then because of the way they've treated Renault aside from being a threat. I know it would be terrible for Formula one if they left but I honestly don't care. There's something about that team I never liked.
....I bet it will be Marko (he looks like the butler, and we all know he's always the guilty one)!!..now will he be the stabbed or the stabber!!!????
Renault Sport managing director seems to agree! (From: Staying with Red Bull for F1 2016 would be tough sell for Renault - F1 news - AUTOSPORT.com ) "Continuing with Red Bull for the 2016 Formula 1 season would be a hard sell for the Renault board after the public slatings from its customer, says Cyril Abiteboul.......
Red Bull owned publication Speedweek puts this out via SKY - 'Red Bull being forced out of F1' claims Red Bull-owned magazine | F1 News
It seems there aren't enough sour grapes in all the world for poor Reb Bull. They publicly humiliated their loyal engine partner Renault, ripped up their own contract with no back up and are now lost in space. As Tarzan says, 'never let go of one vine until you have a firm grasp of another!'
I wish Renault refuses to supply RB/TR for next year, and Mateschitz has to close them down. I won't miss them.
Is Red Bull being forced out of F1 because they are not an auto manufacturer, but are a threat to those who are? This really makes Indy Car look good.
I think Red Bull could be forced out of F1 because no engine manufacturer wants to serve them after the bad publicity they gave to Renault. That's the main reason. 4 years with Renault, 4 WDCs, 4WCCs, and then constant criticisms and scathing attacks in the media. That's enough for Renault to drop them, and for Mercedes and Ferrai not wanting to deal with them.
Hold on! - Who's fault is it that they're in this s:censored:t? Red Bull are now paying the price for their arrogance! Here are the facts: 1) Red Bull have spent the entire season publicly slagging off Renault. 2) They were so arrogant that they decided to part company with Renault before they actually had a replacement engine supplier signed up, believing that they are so important to F1 that the likes of Mercedes would automatically supply them with engine/power units. 3) Mercedes decided that they did not want to supply Red Bull with engine/power units, as is their right. 4) Ferrari offered Red Bull a life-line by offering to supply them 2015 spec engines. 5) Red Bull were yet again so arrogant that rather than be grateful they were offered anything at all, they told Ferrari: "It's 2016 spec engines or nothing at all!" 6) Ferrari have decided: "Okay - it's nothing at all then!" Ferrari haven't done this to Red Bull! Mercedes haven't done this to Red Bull! F1 has not done this to Red Bull! The people who are solely responsible for the s:censored:t that Red Bull are in now are Red Bull! The only reason Red Bull are being "forced out of F1" is because they are too arrogant to remain in F1!
You forget the new engine formula, and that Renault had to design one engine and lock it in. Renault compromised the Red Bull for a team that shouldn't really be the on grid (Lotus). That team then dumped Renault. Red Bull was screwed, Renault was screwed. Mclaren dumped Mercedes, with whom they have several championships pronto with this new format to. Its not just Red Bull that threw a compromising engine builder under the bus.
I completely agree. Just one bad season, and Mateschitz has been *****ing around and trashing Renault publicly, instead of handling this like a professional. I will never miss them. They are just a bloody cola company.
