I agree on both points, am still amazed that GT4's are now "in demand" when just a couple of years ago they were hard to give away ( we almost !)

$40k car all day long back then (highly under-rated when I had one) but a great car and glad to see they are getting the attention they deserved but I would NEVER pay that for ANY GT4

He doesn't REALLY want to sell it,with that price and only 3 pics,of what would probably be/have been, the most expensive one in Aussie.

Looks very nice doesn't it. That colour with those wheels! :)

    Maybe, maybe not.

Perhaps only put a few crappy pics up to see if there are serious buyers out there that will call up about it.

you may well laugh, but the last time, I'm pretty sure this car sold for $125k, and I'm sure he'd easily get that if he sent it OS.

and furthermore, at least 3 fully restored 308GT4s have sold for about $175kUS in the states....what worth more? A fully restored car, or a completely original car in immaculate condition?

This silver car is the latter.

Yeah, well, whatever, the "bubble" has buggered classic Ferrari(though not only them,Masser's,Lambo's,EType's and a raft of others) ownership for the enthusiast and put it into the realm of unobtanium.

I agree 150 for a Merak SS, great thing actually nice to drive. but a 308 anthing would run and hide from one. The Poms have unloved Espadas for up to 300AUD. what the...

    This is #F106AL13432.
I had a chance to examine the car in late 2007 and I thought it was very good. In 2008 it was advertised on Carsales asking $99K with 40,297Km ( at the time a high point for an Aussie GT4) The description at the time read:
"THIS STUNNING CONCOURSE WINNER WOULD SUIT THE MOST ASTUTE COLLECTOR. AUSTRALIAN DELIVERED HAVING 2 OWNERS, IT COMES WITH AN IMPECABLE SERVICE HISTORY WITH ALL ORIGINAL BOOKS, TOOLKIT."

The current $150K ask for a this car should be seen from the perspective that a nice condtion 308GTS recently sold at Duttons for 200K.

John Borghetti's had it back then and it was for sale $110k.

You know Adam, as a $150,000 driving experience, that's a fair comment. A 360 is a much much better driver's car.

As a piece of italian art that sits in your garage and to enjoy on beautiful autumn or spring days, reminicsing about lost youth, a mint original GT4 its an engaging experience. Silver is the best colour for it too although blue hues do look fantastic too.

Nope! just the one.....and that's what a ORIGINAL spec 308 is good for!

Great to drive when the conditions permit (not too hot, not too cold). In today's world, that's what they are.

so you've not driven a GT4, but pass comment anyway?

    Well, since we're talking about car's we've never experienced, I think a 488 should be more expensive than a 250GTO because a 488 is a much better driver's car.

    lol

I remember a time you used to rip into Myfazzman for believing a 308 was worth more than $50k, and that wasn't was long ago. And at the time you were right. If he told you that a 308 would've been worth $150,000 or more, you would've given him an outright bollocking (opps you did that actually!)

Well, it turned out he was right, because for years they were massively undervalued.........or then again, it all could just be a silly asset bubble as a result governments "printing money" like no tomorrow. Keep the ponzi scheme rolling along.

    Well I've driven a 360.

A GT4 is just a longer wheelbase 308 with a better designed interior (which is saying something when the GTB is oh so good).

You bag every one for their comprehension skills.......read my last post!

Get some exercise and get that blood moving to your brain!

Off course if a cars value came just from a driving experience, a 488 is worth more than a 250 GTO.........but that's not why a GTO is worth more. Its worth more because of other intangibles as my previous post suggested.
