Just a quick reminder that this thread is not a place to list YOUR car for sale. For that, you'll have to subscribe and place an ad in the Classifieds.

Offending post deleted. Carry on. :)

No engine, trans, rear subframe. Smashed windows.

Perhaps if you had a matching Mondial with front end damage, you could combine the 2.

Personally, I'd rather take on the BHCC Mondial 8.

This is a deal and a half, not to rebuild but to part it out.

I saw it in GLB's glass case of emotion. looked rougher than a 15k mile car should look. was hoping to get backstory and/or VIN; both mostly accomplished but if you have more details in all ears :)

"It still has its chassis number and if you have the parts it could be the cheapest Ferrari ever"

I like this phrase! LMAO :) I guess it will not go further then 4k and then you have a very neat expensive cassette radio :D I wish there where more radios out like this one to buy though.

I thought the same thing but you can tell by the interior it is a 3.2 86-88

The bumpers are QV or 8.

The interior - especially the center console is QV or later.

It only has 1 radiator fan.

Are the sails on a 3.2 body colored? My QV are black- like the bumpers.

The only thing that looks different is the diaper. It isn't as big/heavy looking as my QV.

did you see the bidding is up to about $6900? Just a couple of months ago, an 8, with the engine removed (but included in the sale) went for about $7000. I think it was a Florida car.

I've got a 3.2 engine to go in this, but I'm a bit worried about the legal ownership given that it was left in a barn... No registration.
    Sounds iffy. But cheapish perhaps.

Sent him an email as such. Not his fault as he admits to not know his Ferraris. Forget how he acquired it but it does not have the V5 hence he does not know the exact age.

Description from auction catalogue when the car was sold in Septembe for £23k ...

    Lot number 141
    Hammer value £23,200
    Description Ferrari Mondial QV
    Registration FFK 877Y
    Year 1983
    Colour Red
    Engine size 2,926 cc
    Chassis No. ZFFLD14C000043465
    Engine No. 43465
Documents V5C; MOT September 2016; heritage cerificate; many service records

First registered in January 1983, this QV comes in the classic colour scheme of Rosso Red with a Crema leather interior. It has covered just 48,800 miles from new and comes with a good service history to show regular careful maintenance. This includes 10 service stamps up to 44,951 miles in 2005 plus a large file of supporting invoices, including bills for an engine overhaul and a new clutch in 1991 at 29,000 miles. A stainless steel sports exhaust was also fitted in 2001 (very fruity!). The cambelt was changed in May 2009 and the car has covered only around 1,000 miles since.

In 2010 the car was put into Carcoon storage as part of a private collection. To prepare it for sale it has been booked in with marque specialists Migliore Cars of Bromsgrove to have an annual service and another cambelt change just prior to the auction. It is also due to have a fresh MOT at the same time.

Given the way that Ferrari prices have rocketed in recent times, and that this is one of only 152 QV models made in RHD, it looks excellent value at the guide price suggested.

AMENDMENT: The mileage is 48,800 not 47,000 as previously stated. The cambelt service has now been carried out and the car is MOTd until September 2016.

That's a beautiful car. I love the brown carpets. They really complement the Crema interior!

Leighton360. Is it you on FaceBook per chance?

Great info. The Private collection is obviously why it never appeared on DVLA records.

    Brilliant.

I too stored it in a Carcoon. Did the same with my F355. The 360 will just be dehumidified I think.

It is indeed. I am happy the car was well looked after even if not used. It was a good car (mostly) when I bought it and it looks like I helped to a degree to keep it as such.

Hope it goes to a good home and for the right money.

i appreciate dealers need to make a mark up, but bought at 23k, put on at £39k seems a bit pushy, even allowing for buyers premiums etc. Ho hum good luck to them.

The RHD t cab that went for £42k at auction back may/june time is still available for £79k for those interested!

I was close to bidding on this, but bottled it at the last minute!
I had a 3.2QV engine & box lined up for it, but I reckon it was still a cost of £12K to bring it up to a decent state - assuming there really was no rust. Worth perhaps £20K for sale so not really enough in it over £5K purchase.
Did some investigation on the VIN and found another Mondy with the same build number is registered.... Not necessarily a problem as the DVLA often make historic mistakes but a worry for me.
Would be interested to hear if it is someone on here bought it.
(anyone after a 3.2 engine and box and all the gubbins...?!)

I'm not shocked by this price.

If prices for the good ones are rising, also the crappy ones will rise.
