Because it's about business not sport.

In that case, the whole F1 section should be in the business section, because it has stopped being a sport some time ago, wouldn't you say?

Fchat never put threads related to Ecclestone, FOM, CVC and else in the business section; they are more or less the owners, organisers of F1. Now a Chinese group may want to bid for that. I don't think they can do a worse job, frankly.

There's a lot of truth to that.
Usually threads that discuss the business end of things do so in the context of how they effect the sport.

Not so sure the Chinese are the best to manage it, but then again, the way it's going, they couldn't do much worse! At least in China they have the need for speed and a fascination for all things exotic, maybe we will get our engines back and real races

They would probably not manage it, but put someone of their choice in charge.

Exactly, judging their ways in other sports (football/soccer for instance). They haven't got a clue.

I sincerely don't care if Chinese, Australians, Americans or Indians buy it. As long it saves the sport from the crap it's already become..

    Hypothetically

Assuming they do buy it, and it plays out anything like the Beijing Olympics, it could make future events boring.

I am not looking forwards to that.

I liked Nikki as a driver, but since, I find him somehow toxic everywhere he goes: Laudair, Jaguar, Mercedes and now FOM ?

He is far too bias to run the F1 organisation.
