    Which do you think would be more collectible in the near future ? SV ( 600 produced ? ) or 50th ( 100 produces ? ) and why ? se30 went up quite a bit , was there a 40th ?

Murci 40th was made in Jade green colour in small numbers - Murci SV is far more collectable (186 made).

The issue with the Aventador SV is the large number produced including roadsters (1300 in total I think)

.... So does the SV mean there's an all new Lambo coming soon ?

I am surprised that the Murci SV was not produced 300 units as originally intended. Nobody wanted them back then?

600 coupes and 500 roadsters should make 1100 Aventador SV in total - still a much higher number than the Murciélago SV.

I wouldn't bet on it. Not a successor for the Aventador, at least. The SV has been the last model two out of three times (Diablo SV was "just another" Diablo model), so wouldn't say that it constitutes that an SV should indicate the end of a model. I would expect a GT version of the Aventador, though...

I'm also surprised - didn't see that coming. 350 were planned, by the way, so just over half the planned production were built.

thanks Forza, yes I meant 1100, but wasn't near my records at the time.
Murci SV production was halted after 186 cars, due to the need to install the Aventador production line in the factory.

I think one based on Aventador chassis, probably with a little extra power and DSG.

probably due to the downturn in the economy 2008-2010 and buyers knowing a new model was coming.

I admire both 50th Anniversary and Murcielago SV. The first because it was painted that beautiful dark blue/green colour and for the limited series and the Murcielago SV because it was a raw true supercar, the last of an era...and because it has the look of a true supercar. If i would have to choose between these two..i would go for the Murcie SV!

Love that car. Especially in Monterey Blue (only one worldwide)

I'm putting my money on the 50th being worth more long term

As a matter of fact the 25th Anniversario is the least appreciated Countach

So between the 50th anni and the SV aventaodor, the consensus is the 50th , due to lower production numbers ?

They made the most volume on the 25th Countach, it is probably the best build Countach, but not the most disirable !

It was just like another limited model after about 20 of the gallardos, some murcis and so on, people get bored when you bring too many special, limited models.
Murcis are lower numbers in general but take the Gallardo:
bicolore, tricolore, nera, SE, SL, supertrofeo, performante, Squadra Corse, momo edition, blancpain edition, singapore edition, malaysia edition, gold edition, hong kong edition, bianco-rosso, Noctis, GZ8 Edizione Limitata, edizione tecnica, balboni (the only I'd take), etc. etc. see all: http://www.lambocars.com/gallardo/

I'd go for a Murci 40th, only a low number built (only 50), special color in and outside.
Aventador 50th and SV are not desirable IME, I personally don't like the spoilers they added around the car.

Newest example: Huracán Zhong - A special, limited edition model to celebrate ten years of Lamborghini in China ... only 50 will be built

    Martin,
Your comment is not factually correct. I am not sure if you have seen the price appreciation of the Anniversary Countach in the last year but it is a highly sought after Icon.
January 2015 Mecum: Aniversary Countach $378,000
May 2015 Mecum: Anniversary Countach $451,000 (Did not even have a wing)
August 2015 Mecum: Anniversary Countach $425,000 (Belonged to F Chatter Scott Ales)
February 2015 Private Sale: Anniversary Countach $435,000 (Sold by FChatter Air4C)
    August 2015: Black Anniversary@ Auction (Repaint) $400,000

The Anniversary Countach is the best running variant of the entire line.
There are several Anniversary Countachs by dealers that are now up for sale at approx $500,000

Again, you need to know the facts. Only 160 Anniversary Countachs came to the USA. Many have left in the last 5 years alone to go overseas(Japan Malaysia Saudi Arabia etc)

The FI Variant of the Anniversary Countach is much rarer that the Carbd version.

In Europe they call crazy prices up to 800'000euros ...
But this means nothing in sense of collectibility, in the end the collector decide what he's willing to pay.

But Raymond, what is "crazy"? The sales data speak for itself. It is one thing if I only posted asking prices but take a look at the data on sale prices.

Sure, what is crazy, use mobile.de ? Gebrauchtwagen und Neuwagen ? Deutschlands größter Fahrzeugmarkt, you will find annies for 300k euros and such for 800k euros, similar cars, similar mileage, so which asking price is ridicolous knowing that these cars are for sale almost a decade...

But this discussing we should avoid here, there's a dedicated thread.

Coming back to Aventador SV vs. 50th, as always time will tell, for me there is a number of cars which are more collectable than just the newest "Limited" the factory issued.

I was speaking about the liklihood of appreciation between the SV and 50th. But 25th cars have pulled good numbers recently.

LP670's still hold the highest value of the Murcielago line, with the 40th on its heels.
Diablo SV's are doing quite well compared to the rest.

However, these are far more limited production than the Aventador line. While the SV/50 will likely hold a higher value than the LP700, they probably will not have the pricing characteristics of the earlier SV/Anniversary cars because of their production numbers.

Robert, you're a very lucky man!! AFAIK there is only one officially made by the Factory. Stunning, stunning car!

    Please, post some pictures.
