Meanwhile thanks for confirming the chassis number.

 

30 years afther....did the car always based in England?
Plates never changed, so did the owner still the Sultan?

 

57727 was originally invoiced to a man resident in Apollo, PA/USA. Only thereafter it was repainted black and went to Brunei.

So today then Ferrari market had gone mad, a 599 GTO has now surpassed a grade 1 f40.
A 599 GTO has traded at 800k sterling. Makes the F40 seem so underpriced, or am I missing something.

Joe I hear ya, on all the older cars we have (Classics & Muscle) Not only should they come with tools they should also come with a tech!!!! GTO!!!

I don't know exactly but there can't be many, I've only seen images of 3 cars really badly damaged, one of which was supposedly written off, but at these values, its more likely that they will be saved.
