I was out on a great drive last Sunday. Here is a shot between Port Renfrew and Lake Cowichan.

I even ran into another FWord!

    😀

Great shot. Love the GTS with the black windscreen surround.

At the SVRA Coronado vintage races, September, 2015. Its first race!

(Just after its first "competitive" track days in late August at the FCA National event at Laguna Seca.)

(And prior to that, in early August, on two short separate test days at Willow Springs – with unused 10 year-old tires, a new engine to gingerly break in, and 105 degree temps – was the first time car had been driven in 10 years.)

(I wish it was really that color! Without the unintentional dramatic lighting, it's standard Rosso, which also looks great, but this Rosso Barchetta effect is pretty cool.)

Have fun – I've done the COTA race the past two years in a 1972 Caldwell Formula Ford and still can't believe I'm on the same track as the guys I watched on TV two weeks ago – "Hey, Vettel is taking my line through Turn 12!!" It is such an amazing track.

But I burned out a bit this summer racing two cars at Cal Speedway, Monterey and Coronado. Plus they moved the COTA race back a few weeks and it this year it conflicts with the season ending VARA race at Willow Springs, close to home. (And I'm taking only one car…) I'm probably the only person who consciously chose Willow over COTA and Rosamond, CA over Austin, TX!

I felt compelled to do the race in an open wheel car, especially the first year, but next year I think I'll bring the GT4. But make sure you see the FB/FF race, it's some of the closest racing all weekend. And the FB cars are so bad-ass. Serious tire-width envy every time I run with those guys!

Have fun. Hope the rain stopped!

greetings from Scotland, I have owned my Ferrari 308 GTS for 15 years, I bought it for £16k as a running restoration, labour rates are reasonable here in Scotland and a friend gave the car a bare metal repaint and sorted out any suspect panels, he did a good job. Rebuilt all the callipers, new discs, springs and shocks, bushes all round, new exhaust and manifolds, new water hoses and ali water pipes, stripped the carbs and rebuilt them, car runs very smoothly and there are not many in Scotland, maybe just a handful, the value of this car would be out of my reach if I wanted to buy one now so Im happy to have it and enjoy it on the beautiful roads here in Scotland. This shot was at Stirling Castle, a few miles from where I live.
