McLaren Formula 1 - Chandon becomes new official partner of McLaren Honda Maybe the only way they'll taste Champagne any time soon, but in F1 there is no problem that more money won't fix!
As was mentioned here: https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/f1/501134-alonso-vs-mclaren-vs-honda-how-long-before-blow-up-3.html , Moët & Chandon is part of the Diageo group of drinks (Diageo own 34% of Moët Hennessy who own Moët & Chandon), so it's not quite the "new" sponsor that McLaren would have you believe, they're just swapping one big name Diageo owned sponsor (Johnnie Walker) for another. Really? - Toyota threw more money into F1 than any other team each season when they were in it and it didn't do them any good! And what about Ferrari? - They throw masses of money into F1 every year but it rarely fixes their problems to make them winners every year!
You're not wrong! (From McLaren Formula 1 - Chandon becomes new official partner of McLaren Honda) : Chandon and McLaren "No one knows how to embrace the times and cutting-edge technology like McLaren and Chandon! Both incorporate their conquering spirit and impeccable innovation: McLaren with its unparalleled racing cars, and Chandon in its winemaking savoir-faire and global search for perfection in crafting its wines." McLaren are hardly embracing the "cutting-edge technology" at the moment! - In fact it looks more as though they don't have the first clue about it! As for its: " unparalleled racing cars", right now they're one of the biggest jokes in F1! Also owned by Moët Hennessy and therefore Diageo! I can only think that Moët & Chandon are confident that there will not be a clash with F1's official Champagne (Mumm), as they know the Mclaren drivers will never be seen drinking Mumm champagne on the podium during their sponsorship! (Personally speaking, I'd take Mumm champagne over Moët & Chandon every time!)
Me too! I don't drink it very often because it's expensive and I'm poor, but I got a case of it when I got married so the toasts could be done with Veuve Clicquot. It's always been my favorite. Actually, it's the only champagne I really thoroughly enjoy, there are plenty of other nice ones but the one I really look forward to is Veuve Clicquot. All the best, Andrew.
I prefer Krug my self... and Deutz for "every day champers'..... but Moet Chandon is a great brand .... I wonder if Jackie Stewart will now be with McLaren... as he;s a director of Moet.
"No one knows how to embrace the times – and cutting-edge technology – like McLaren and Chandon! Both incorporate their conquering spirit and impeccable innovation: McLaren with its unparalleled racing cars, and Chandon in its winemaking savoir-faire and global search for perfection in crafting its wines." They're not wrong. McLaren is unparalleled in DNF's and breakdowns as well as being off pace (manor marussa isn't a team they don't count) Chandon is still in that global search.
The darkness that prevailed in Austin last weekend proved that McLaren missed an opportunity in not changing its livery to the historic McLaren papaya, as was speculated during the off-season. The cars would have really stood out, especially in all that great racing that was happening in midfield, among all those other dark hued cars.
+2. They sponsored one of Franco Valobra's events...Habitat for Humanity bash....been a fan ever since. Had a cool little mailbox, on the last bottle....I had the key chain too for a long time....I think it went with #22641...
If Veuve (owned by the same company as Moët Chandon ) were the sponsor it would have been perfect synergy as Veuve's brand color is also orange. Why do I have to think of this?
