Thanks man. Loving your collection and previous cars too. The 512 is a proper poster car. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Thanks Moe. Another great collection. I did look at an 83 512 before buying the 612 (and a 72 Dino) but ultimately even my dodgy man maths said I couldn't buy something like that and put too many miles on it. The 612 I think will be less mileage sensitive and although I'd love to add the Dino and have a V6, V8 and V12, I think I'll watch the market over the winter before making the leap.
Friend of mine in Charlotte just bought a V6 Dino 246 and he absolutely loves the car. Very small, agile sports car that sounds awesome. Too bad Ferrari doesn't make cars like this anymore. I also used to own an 83 512 BBi. Keep in mind, these are Flat-12s; not V12s.
Beautiful OTO ; wonder if this was Eric Clapton's 2nd 612? In an older interview, he stated that his 612 was his "favorite" Ferrari as he could drive it daily (and several street pics on web with him driving a 612 but believe it was a Mk1). The 612 has been one of my favorite Ferraris as well -- humor and post options that Eric wanted on his car just out of curiosity, love the quilted leather seats BTW. Enjoy it and drive it as much as possible!

Thank you. As far as I know this was the only one. The registration papers say he bought it through his company Marshbrook in November 2008, and then sent it back to the factory early 2010 to have the two-tone paint job done as well as adding Sessanta wheels. It was originally a Grigio OTO but the colour in the DVLA registration was updated to black/blue in July 2010. Here is a link to him leaving the Royal Albert Hall in it after a concert in 2009, I haven't seen any other pictures of him with it and would love to have a few so if you find any others please send me the links. You are right. Incorrectly captioned video. Argh, the Internet- that will teach me to look properly. Nonetheless, his 612 was originally grey. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Is that color Argento Nurburgring Metallic [Silver]? Also, if your looking at Gold wheels, check this out: http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/ferrari-discussion-not-model-specific-sponsored-algar-ferrari/469316-ferrari-brushed-gold-wheels-something-nothing.html
I saw a 612 about 3 years ago at Ferrari Long Island with that hood- It wasn't the Kappa obviously, but someone had traded the car in and I was told he originally ordered the car with that hood. It's a historic feature that actually lends itself very well to the 612
And you should be. The 612 just keeps getting better - that's a great car! I picked mine up on Monday. Two hour drive back but it went straight into storage for the winter. My new garage is still in progress but when finished will have both the 612 and 430 in there - happy days!
Adam - Yes it's Argento Nurburgring. One month or so into the car and I'm loving it. I got a very good price on the car and budgeted for a few things. So far I replaced the fuel pumps - tops had cracked and fumes were becoming noticeable, and had the ac system overhauled. The only (thus far) other issues are a main beam bulb failure which Ferrari Doha instantly diagnosed as requiring a new complete headlight unit without even seeing the car...no surprises there; and a valet parking guy breaking the gossamer thin window switch (will be fixed at main agent at their expense). No specialists here as its a tiny country so my only option is the main agents or import what I need and get it fixed locally. Going with gold wheels I'm still toying with, just need to see a few more ideas / images before pulling the trigger on it. But as a car it is immense. I love my TR but this is savage for what purports to be a GT car.
Saw that (uni) grey 599 at the Modena Track days 2015 in Spa. Daniel Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
