I'd be curious to know how a LF could be more responsive than a 918.
Most propably Koenigsegg, Pagani Huayra and eventually Bugatti i would assume Sent from my iphone with Tapatalk
Only difference could come down to the weight or control. Fezza feels faster bc you lack 4wd and therefore it feels less controllable. My thoughts.
Why would that effect response of the powertrain? All those electric motors should ensure it's incredibly responsive.
Powertrain has to move the weight. But we are likely splitting hairs here as any NA engine with AC motor assist will be very responsive. Where the LaF likely has the "powertrain response" advantage is higher up the rev range when engine torque starts to dominate over electric motor torque.
One:1 is the wildcard. On one hand I know above 150 mph it'll steam roll the LaF, 918 or P1. But they may have built up such a lead by then it's insurmountable. Totally different cars. I've talked to a few Koenigsegg owners last time I was in London they all stated the gear boxes seem light years behind the competition. That and poor launch control slow them down.
it's finally up https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e9FUAvxsrf0 wasn't supprised with the results. some on this forum might be though (I won't spoil it)

no, that settles nothing! everyone knows the trofeos are designed specifically for that track surface. and did you notice the way the workers prepped the surface? that looked very suspicious to me too.
All amazing, would love to have all three, would love to have one. In the straight test wonder what the one:1 would have done.

What I can't figure out is that I've seen 918's pull sub 10's at the drag strip in videos. And the others have pulled sub 10's in mags. How could their times be so bad and how aren't they embarrassed to post such a terrible video.
The surface was dirty, the cleaned hit up and also later heated it up due to the traction problems of the P1 and the LaFerrari. I don't see a problem with the test, all cars had the same conditions.
Well whatever, heated surface or not, it seems pretty clear that those of you who like drag racing from the lights on normal road surfaces should think twice before taking on a 918! Rather do a rolling start!! Porsches launch control is by far the best. The only way the other two will get the jump is if the 918 driver misses the start. What is odd is that when we have done numerous acceleration tests with my P1 and LF the LF has had the edge. Especially ober 300 Kmh. My P1 has the standard corsa. What it shows it is all very close and that probably the tolerances cars have leaving the factory will make a difference. I think in part 3 on a longer runway the Porsche will be reeled in because the front emotor switches off at 265 Kmh. What is weird is that I initially did not want the 918 because of all the negative talk in the market about it, and the fact that Porsche sold me a CGT in 2004 at full price and then flogged the last ones at massive discounts to US customers! Had the factory not need so persistent I would not have bought it. In the end I did it as I had the other two already. Now I am very happy I did. It's a damn fine machine. And all of a sudden I know many who regret that they did not buy it. Up to now all three have had updates. the only car where you notice something is amiss is the P1. Very often error messages make you stop and switch off the car, wait start it again and then the error is gone. Still is a nusaince! PS: not sure what updates the 918 giving more power should have had. All updates have been purely technical with no effect on speed. I called and asked if I had missed one for my car and they said they had no power update.
Lol, I keep hearing that the 918 slows down at 163, when the front motor cuts out, this is a myth.....Have a look at my run back in May, does it look like it slows down? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=opz9GVzbogQ With regard to Santa, the surface felt very slippy. I was happy to put a time down in the 918 and sit back, they even sprayed glue down for the P1 and Lafa, but while they improved about 0.4 on their times, they could not beat the one set by the 918 on a surface without to help of the glue. I was happy to run again if required....
918 had less of an advantage, it set its time without the assistance of Glue on the track, this was worth 0.4 over the 1/4....
Because 918's have a fashion trend to set times, then sit back and relax, while others are fighting to catch up... Remember Laguna Seca?
Well I suggest you speak to your dealer. The front emotor disengages from 265kmh. That is no myth. You lose the hp from the front motor.
