On the flip side ... Walk into any domestic or Japanese car dealership and you are bombarded with salespeople that won't leave you alone and are downright irritating.

I have had similar ferrari dealer experiences. Clearly not the case for all dealers but hard to take it personally or care much other than for how poorly it reflects on the brand.

In terms of people talking about appointments / serious inquiries, the browser today may be the buyer tomorrow and today's seller's market for ferrari may be tomorrow's buyer's market, so the attitude could bite them in the future.

Are there truly a lot of people trying to buy a car and being blown off or a lot of people not buying cars upset that they were not mistaken for someone who was?

Should ferrari dealerships be like yach clubs with reciprocity where if you own a Ferrari from elsewhere you should enjoy all the amenities and be given a tour of the shop, etc?

There is no more Wynn Ferrari. It's bye bye!

Now part of the Towbin dealership network. Moved to the Rolls Royce dealership on Sahara.

Car sales of any type is about SALES. Ferrari is no different. Imagine your a Ferrari salesman and 99.9% of the people you deal with either just want to look at your inventory or get their ego stroked pretending they want to buy. It can get old really quick but it is never an excuse for rudeness. Anyone can potentially become a future buyer if they have enough money, however, salesman will only give real service to the .1% that are ACTUALLY GOING TO BUY. They know the games people play very well because they see it every day. When someone walks in to a dealership and wants the red carpet service and then gets upset when they don't roll it out, it makes me question what they were really after. If you just want to look at the cars and take a picture and the salesman quietly let you, that's great. If you go looking for V.I.P. service with no intention to buy, well that's wrong. Good salesman always know when they are dealing with a serious buyer.

I agree with what you are saying but they really don't care. Most salesman are looking to make a quick buck. They are not thinking you might be a buyer in 5 years.

I worked for a car broker about 8 years ago. The owner used to work at a high line dealer in Beverly Hills. He told me he used to sell a lot of cars by being an ******* to the customers. He says it doesn't work on everyone but when you find the right person it works like a charm. I always had a hard time understanding it but he plenty of awards and trophy's to back it up.

But then why not just call him in five years. Window shop all you want but don't expect a red carpet for you to dream.

To me it's an overly sensitive position to care how you are treated as a window shopper. Are peoples' egos that fragile? If you don't care what the staff of a dealership think of you then it can't ruin your dreaming window shopping experience.

If they're rude enough to spoil your day then call someone else in five years. Not complicated unless you make it that way.

Want good service? Go to Ferrari of Silicon Valley... They can't afford to treat people bad, folks that look home less could be a Zukerburg! Doesn't matter if I go in there with a suit or flip flops and shorts! Always good service....been there many times dressed like I'm heading to the beach, always treated like a king.

If Ferrari wants to get to 9k sales per year, the dealer image is going to need a serious upgrade.

For fear of becoming visible to the China government's anti-corruption campaign. Macau is a ghost town for the same reason.

I've been a customer at FoLI and FoFL and I've found their customer service excellent. When you walk in the door there is a receptionist that asks you what you need. If your there to just walk around they leave you alone. If your there for more they get you a sales person. I've found both places to be very responsive and I even have the service rep's personal cell #. He told me anytime, day or night, that I need something just call or text. I've emailed him on a Sunday with a question and didn't want a response until Monday, but he answers almost immediately. It's truly one of the best customer service experiences I've ever had.

My family and I visited Ferrari of Atlanta yesterday and had the complete opposite experience. The sales person was very kind and accommodating. We are a family of four pulling up in a Volvo :)

I have never been treated badly. I don't tell them what I have or don't have, I just speak to them politely and say I am just looking, I love the cars. Ferrari of Palm Beach has been especially nice. Just super, super nice people. Ferrari of Silicon Valley is also great. Ferrari of San Francisco has been really nice too.

My friend, who has a Diablo, and is serious about a brand new F-car, has been ignored, treated like crap, and asked to leave from several dealerships.

It's all in how you come across.
