Yep. Harvik was a jerk for staying out and, of course, the TV commentators were "What else could he do?" Perhaps, but the officials should have done what he refused to do: Get his car off the damn track. Not to mention it sure looked like he intentionally moved up on that other car (6?) on the second restart.

What will happen to Kenseth? He should be barred from the rest of the season.

If he took out Logano, and Kenseth did it with a running car, maybe not much.

Things like these keep things calm in the long run, drivers don't really want to mess with eachother.

IF however, they were on different laps, and chase/non chase, and Kenseth had a wrecked car, there will likely be some form of penalty.

He did sustain damage earlier in the race to the right front so I don't think he's lying in that the right front suspension likely failed. Plus, you can see he was braking hard after he ran into the back corner as all four wheel locked up and put rubber marks on the ground for 20+ ft before he took that huge hit to the wall so he was trying to stop.

Edit: After re-watching the video, his front wheels were tracking straight all the way to the wall and never turned left. Either he kept it straight or the steering/suspension failed maybe from the earlier wreck.

huh?? you are joking right? matt is a ***** and should be suspended. and by the way, while joey is young he is bigger than nearly all the bully's in the sport. I would love to see joey give the likes of kevin or matt a good old fashioned azz whoopin.

I hope he is banned but I am certain he will not be. nascar will not mess too much with Toyota this year as they need to kiss their azzes soo as to keep them in the sport.

Kenseth should get a ban for the next race in Texas for the stunt he pulled in Martinsville.
If there is no price for BS like that then NASCAR is no better than the demolition derby at the fall fair...

+1 but don't expect it to happen, this behavior is part of NASCAR's culture.

Part of why NASCAR is so lame. Ricky Craven talking about a "code" among drivers...I see, there's a "code" to potentially kill someone if you feel that driver has "wronged" you?

The code I know of from my racing experience is you never go out of your way to potentially injure a competitor. NEVER.

NASCAR is GARBAGE - the Kardashians of the racing world...complete CRAP.

Here in Tennessee pulling that stunt at the local short track will get you arrested.

I have a buddy at Penske and spoke to him today. they seem to be taking this all in stride. he said team Penske will prevail in the end. joey and brad are solid together and brad will do his part to look out for his teammate too.

not going to happen but matt should be watching from his tv for the rest of the season.

btw, danica tried to put dave Gilliland in the wall as well but she was not as successful.

nascar has really become a joke!!! even for a race fan...it is getting tough to watch.

    it's such a farce.

Kenseth should get parked for a few races but under the current nascar regime will probably get an under the table bonus for all the buzz he's generated

Back it up a couple races, Joey hit Matt and later in the race wrecked Matt to win the race.
Yesterday Brad hit Matt and wrecked him, so I can see how Matt felt like he was under attack from the two Penske drivers and decided to even things out a bit.
It looked bad, but his right front tire or suspension may have failed.
This is not the first time this has happened and won't be the last.
Payback has always been a part of NASCAR.

How long does NBC have NASCAR CUP on contract? Is it just the chase?

They freakin' are HORRIBLE at covering races. They show all sorts of stuff on the race broadcast that should be some form of pre-show, and often do it at critical racing moments. :\

Andrew you have friends at jgr. I enjoy having coffee w/ the coach on occasion. he and his wife are lovely people.

matt did not have a suspension failure. he had gone after joey earlier in the race. he finally had the chance in the end. listen to the spotters making the call. they saw it coming at least 7 or 8 seconds before it happened. let's be real guys.
