He is a brat because he keeps questioning a team that gave him 2 world titles! All Hamilton was interested was stealing a win from Rosberg by not following his team's instruction to fit a 3rd set of tyre, for satety reasons. Not a team player, just a brat !!!
+1000 !!! Mercedes should just stop to pander to Hamilton. Anyone of the top 10 on the grid would be winning with that car.
It's not probably, it's surely! Dan Gurney's Eagle was a lovely car, and very well built too. It's a pity Gurney pulled out of F1. I think he didn't feel the support at home and concentrated on Indy instead.
How many posts have there been on this forum advocating that the driver should be making the decisions, not the technical people on the pit wall? This was an example of the driver wanting to make the decision but being overruled by the techies. I doubt that safety was a real factor, his tyres would have gone off and he'd have had no grip, forcing him to come in long before any safety issue raised its head. As it happens Hamilton would probably have finished nowhere had he not been overruled, but he'd have had no one to blame but himself.
You can see it from both sides...After Monaco it was said that the drivers only give feetback and that the guys on the pit wall see the bigger picture and have to make the decision...No matter how it is dealt it is always wrong. What makes things worse is that Monaco is the only race where one can be sure about the outcome (Hamilton would have won) when they decided different, in all other cases it is just speculation. And what you said about the tyres (no grip before they blow), this is exactly what Ferrari thought in Spa and see what happened. I think all these tyre rules (you have to drive both mixtures) are stupid. Take the sensors of the tyres, make them degrading in a constant form reducing the grip not all of the sudden but over a longer time and have the drivers decide when and how often they want to come in to change on whatever tyres they want. It is a choke that the pit wall knows more about the tyres than the guy sitting in the car.
+1 A complete ban on radios has been supported by many. (Pit boards only? - Although those can obviously be ignored too.) As I noted above, this is probably the first time I've read the 'entire' race thread in one go rather than 'as it happens'...... Interesting indeed..... Suffice to say the comments are *all* over the map....... Finally, many thanks to all those guys (& Isobel) for the well wishes. Much appreciated. Suffice to say I was hauled to hospital and am just completing more tests than I knew *existed*! Hopefully should be discharged later today...... Cheers, Ian
http://youtu.be/ptQnL0yYv0A For those wondering why vettel release was so slow... Alonso intentionally blocking vettel. Skip to 2.10. Alonso deserves that crappy Honda engine. He is a petulant child.
Extra warm As in: Bring Hamilton earlier on his good set of tires (over his objection) for a hard set so Nico wouldn't be challenged.
Ever seen how alonso acted at renault? When fishichella was leading be would yell over the radio for the team to order him to move over. Winners are winners for a reason
You mean "since" Spa last year That much for "respect" and "sportsmanship"...He can not even admit when his team mate was faster all weekend, he still must talk down his victory to "team being warm". It looks like the success is getting to his head and he is loosing perspective. And just because he said so his "followers" believe that without a second thought... PS: typical one-sided article anyway...They talk about Rosberg throwing back the hat showing the frosty atmosphere but they do not mention with a single word that THROWING BACK means that the whole thing was started by Hamilton THROWING the hat.
Hi bob. They were both running the medium as their second set, and changed to a further set of the same tyre for each car, so there was no advantage played for either tyre-wise. It was just a safety call, as we have to believe the team that wear would be an issue later. Just because force India made them last doesn't mean that other teams can, they have consistently been softer on their tyres all season, whereas some drivers are harder on them, Elton included. As it was, we got, for a change, a fair fight, and Nico finally got the win he has deserved with his qualy performances recently.
"Nico drove well. No mistakes. No gust of wind." LOL. No respect. ...and again, so passive-aggressive. Someone get in someone's face already. This is like watching teenage girls fight with each other by talking **** on each other to mutual friends.
Anyway, forget Merc. The story of the race for me was the way Vettel blew up under pressure. It looked like he made a seasons worth of errors in one race! Shame. I was hoping he'd take second in the wdc...
