    Hi,

What is your opinions for a black 599 HGTE: GTO wheels or HRE p101?

    GTO wheels:
    Ferrari OEM
Less fragile (only thicker version currently available)
Not in the same dimension as HGTE wheel
    Only 2 colors available
    ...

    HRE p101:
    50% more expensive
    Fully customizable (size, offset, color)
    Very light
    More exclusive
    ...

Let me know what you think!
    Cheers, Olivier.

They are pretty similar. Are you planning on doing anything else besides the wheels?

Just my 2 cents- The GTO wheel will always be worth more money with time and never less than you likely paid , the HRE's aren't worth half as soon as you drive down the street

And if they look the same- The decision is clear...

    GTO.

Only a couple of sets left at the factory. Will become very rare and VERY valuable.

GTO wheels made by BBS F1, IMO their looks are almost the similar but after you install into the car they don't look the same. HRE is more sharper radius along the edge of the spoke while GTO is has larger radius. You have to see in person, picture don't do the justice. I have both therefore I can distinguish the different between two.

In term of weight, I think HRE slightly lighter (Not by far), On HRE you can request your own offset so if you want to do aggrasive setting then you can by HRE. GTO as it is unless you order directly from BBS and special order your offsets. (Take so long to get from BBS)

Good Lucks... hope this help ...

Yes, the car has got pretty much all there is in the accessories catalogue for the 599: GTO style front grille, carbon fiber side skirts / fuel cap / door handle, tinted mirrors, titanium lug bolts, ... it also has matte grey roof and matte carbon GTO mirrors. Also being an HGTE it is slightly lower ...

Hi, there seems to be available from a variety of different sources ... do you know for sure that production has stopped?

The wheel on the right is nicer.

OEM is generally preferable and Ferrari wheels are money in the bank if you ever part with her.

If you want ultra performance and weight savings BBS has an even more ultralight version of the BBS Fi wheel. It's called the BBS Fi-R.

GO with the GTO I really do like that new one also! And I do love HRE but the reasons for the GTO are good.

Olivier, are you planning on sticking to OEM sizes if you were to go HRE?

Yes, I would. The HGTE 599 had dedicated rims and I can only assume they were designed to work in perfect harmony with the rest of the car modifications ...

Both are beautiful rims, GTO rims will add a certain iconic flavor and in the long run probably will be more valued.

HRE looks better in my opinion.

Question for the experts (about these two pictures): why the rear calipers are in different positions on those pics? :)

It looks so close to my eyes. I'd just stick with the GTO unless you wanted some different fitments. Lovely car.

It is my understanding that the front wheels on the GTO are slightly wider than the 599, can anyone confirm this, and by how much?

Affirmative, quite a bit wider, but changing to 255/35 fronts and 315/35 rears works fine.

Seems to be a photoshop, they took the front wheel to the rear.

I believe the GTO wheels only come in black or gray, if you want a silver wheel it's the p101.
