    Hi Patrick

My carpet is beige. The original seat trim was tan (leather or vinyl plus fabric - I don't know) it was retrimmed in 1990 in Crema leather and the carpets date back to then and are just looking a bit tired. The car is Dino blue and it has new (but matching what was there when I bought it) blue mats.

Adrian told me that as the interior was originally tan then the beige/black boot carpets would be correct as original, but as the interior colour has changed I am happy with either - whatever he can supply, though blue would be my preference to match the exterior colour and the mats . The original boot carpets were replaced with plain black in 1990 and even those are now pretty well worn out

This should be the final list for the first batch. The red line indicates the last order for each color, based on the assumption that three meters are sufficient for an US car.

Al, could you please give me a thumbs up if you are fine with three meters or if you need more (see kiwiokie's post).

    Hi Adrian,

I'm sorry, I'm not understanding the "red line" on your list. Does it mean that if you're above the line, you've got a carpet and if you're below, you haven't, or something else? :)

    Thanks,
    Paul

Paul, I think above the red line is the first bath, below is the second batch which Adrian tells me he hopes to be in April, but no timescale guarantee.

To be honest, there may be an advantage to being in the second batch as we will be able to gain from the experience of those in the first batch.

Yes, correct! Unfortunately the first batch yielded less carpet than originally planned.

    Hi Roger

You need to tell Adrian what colour you need and join the queue. If Adrian is able to supply you in the second batch (due possibly - but not guaranteed) in April we may be able to co-oridinate us 4 UK guys to get it all done together. You are well placed as Patrick has a trimmer in MK. All depends on timing.

Send me an email to [email protected] with your address, fchat and real name, if your car is an US or EU delivery and the color of carpet you require (beige/black or blue/black).

First carpet piece on a cardboard tube ready for packaging. The white stuff which protrudes to both sides is the special coating applied to the backside of the carpet.

Still working on the carpet size required for the US deliveries, this is the last issue before we can start shipping.
I think the best approach would be to supply a 'standard' EU sized piece of carpet (140x265 cm) as well as an additional piece for the four small pieces and the longer rectangular piece (photo below, the pieces shown without numbers).

kiwiokie, could you supply the dimension for a piece of carpet large enough to yield the four small pieces and the longer one?

Photo on top, kiwieokie's US carpet, photo below my EU carpet.

Could anyone help with the additional size of the US carpet pieces? I would really like to start shipping but without the sizes i can't start cutting down the carpet pieces and distribute them.

    Thanks,
    Adrian

Sorry Adrian, did not see your earlier post. The dimensions of the pieces not numbered are as follows:
    112cm x 22cm (1 piece)
    27cm x 29cm (2 pieces)
    23cm x 15cm (2 pieces)
    Hope this helps. Cheers, John

Why is the US carpet pieces more sq volume seems like with all the bumpers, sheilding etc it would be smaller?

    Adrian you are the best!

Fantastic, thank you so much! So if i understand this correcty, if we supply two stripes with 112 cm x 29 cm (one for the large piece, the other one for cutting out the four smaller pieces) on top of the EU carpet then there should be enough carpet available for the US pattern.

    Dear Friends,

I am emploring all of you who are buying carpet from Adrian for delivery to the US to be sent to Strictly Al to trim, to send Adrian the funds so he can ship it out. They need it to finish my car and this is one of the key holdups.

    Thank you

    Rob

Well, I'm on the list and as far as I know I haven't received payment instructions. It's possible I missed it, and if so, I hope Adrian will let me know right away.

    I'm ready to go! :)

Al, I *think* Adrian may have also included on your list the carpet commitments for some of us with US cars that would like to have you do the cutting, binding, and finishing work for US deliveries.

I'll start sending payment and shipping information as soon as i have sorted out the new alignment with the US requirements, i'll post an updated list in the next days. My main worries right now are to make sure that there is enough carpet for the US trunk and how to ship the two pieces required for doing an US carpet properly.

    Thanks and best,
    Adrian

I did a test run last week and supplied the first roll of carpet to the first german buyer (not on fchat), sending and packaging worked well and the carpet is being installed in the trunk right now. Now on to recalculating the US carpet and creating individual rolls/packages.
